I filled my motorcycle up Sunday with PREMIUM and it was $10. Talk about feeling like I was stealin'...at one time, it was costing me nearly $20 for the bike. My last fill up on the company truck was $45, about half what it has been at $4 a gallon. I'm diggin' it while I can. I have a feeling 2009 ain't gonna be a great year for me, financially.

1.79 here in the Southern Piedmont of NC. and still heading down.

Why is it when gas is 4 bucks a gallon, your always needing gas. Your always having to fill up. But now its down below 2 bucks, a tank last forever.....

I hear ya Dave, 2009 ain't looking good financially for me either. Just found out that my brother was laid off from his job yesterday. It's getting bad everywhere, and I am yet to find anything perm yet. Looking at working part-time stocking shelves until better work comes along.

I thought the reason we were paying $5 a gallon was because there is a gas shortage??????? If they can sell it for under $2 now there is no reason it should go back to $5 anytime soon! I think the oil companies should send everyone in America a rebate check for their record breaking sales! Pisses me off just thinking about it!

$2.29 in Moorpark on Monday and continuing to fall.

Last June I started riding my bike to work twice a week to save gas. I'm still doing it but only once a week due to the time change (gets dark coming home). It's great that gas is less expensive but let's keep up conserving ways. Not only will it help keep the price down, it's good for the environment.

Saw that last month John visiting friends (don't tell anyone that I know someone in the valley!), mentioned to Sharon hope the Mom & Pop can still make it. Probably won't though.

Wayne, my parents live just down the road from that station, and my Dad goes to the mom & pop store b/c of the ethanol free gas. He says that it is moving further down the road, but I think you are right. It won't be able to compete with the big Oil Co.

Oil company greed?

Let's say somebody gives you $1 but you have to spend .93 cents to get that dollar, and keep .07 cents of it (then pay taxes on that). Is this greedy?

OPEC is the greedy one. They are the ones behind the bogus supply/demand issues. I am sure they are all pissed as hell at the US for screwing up the economy, thus lowering their precious oil prices.
