I was just checking the Wanee site hoping some info on 2009 would be there & it is down at the moment. Could news be forth coming? Anyone who was at Bear Creek hear anything about Wanee?

Nobody at Bear Creek or the SOS knew anything about the Wanee dates. Here's hoping you're right in that the site's down and we'll be hearing something soon I do know it is happening!!!

Do not worry. Wanee 2009 will happen. The week before Bonarroo is what I was told at SOSMP. This could be moved to.

All I do know is the park has been told that the attendance will be 3 times as many as last year.

That would be a bad time of the year for me. Bonnaroo is usually in mid June. It will be a hot one in Florida if they wait that late.

I think there are a lot of graduations at that time. What is it that would make the dates not work for Nancy and Terri??

I've got a 3 week trip out of the country starting Monday the 15th! IF Wanee is the FIRST weekend of June, I MAY be able to be there (I want to be there, SO BADLY!) but if its the next weekend, there is NO WAY! what a messed up change this is. And YES, its pretty darn warm in N. FL in early June, but that's what water is for! LOTS of water!!!

As you said Susea, graduation. My only niece graduates from high school that weekend, so I'll be in Michigan.

I really wish they wouldn't mess with a good thing (Wanee in April)

Nothing is for sure yet but I agree about having it in April. Even if the end of April.

Wish it was in April since that what a lot of people have planned for the last four years

Too bad if it's June. At least for me. June is just too hot for me.
But I'm not sure I would have gone in April either. But I was thinking about it.

I'll be there too I won't have to pack so many blankets and quilts this year, that's for sure! The river will feel really good that time of year! May bring some blow up pools for the Hilton area since we have all those water facets accessable to us at the stable area AND, a blender for Frozen drinks and I'll have those little umbrellas' for them. It'll be just fine in June, I'm sure We'll need those tent a/c's we saw that go on top of ther coolers. Anyone have an icemaker machine? I know there are ceilcing fans for tents too. All very doable
