"Roaring 20s", "Angels With Dirty Faces", great actor, a bit forgotten by todays generation. Give me a Jimmy Cagney movie any day of the week.....

The whole reason I subscribe to Netflix. Turning my kids on to all these oldies and classics. They love them. We've done Cagney, Marx Brothers, my all time favorite "Night of the Hunter" with Robert Mitchum. Scared the heck outra me when I first saw it. The last we did was "the Bad Seed".

Always looking to add to my list. Suggestions???

some lesser known, but very good Cagney movies, "13 Rue Madeleine" WW2 spy thriller, "City For Conquest", Cagney plays a boxer who goes blind in the ring, and "Shake Hands with the Devil" about Ireland, the IRA in the 20s. Other good classics I would recommend are "Gunga Din", with Cary Grant, and "Robin Hood" with Errol Flynn

Some Cagney flicks I enjoy that haven't been mentioned ...

Man With A Thousand Faces (story of Lon Chaney)
Love Me or Leave Me (with Doris Day)
Seven Little Foys (with Bob Hope)
The Time of Your Life
White Heat (top of the world, ma!)
Mister Roberts
Ragtime

Yep, big fan here. Probably my favorite actor of the B&W era.
Especially "White Heat". What a classic. Have it on my harddrive.
