I always did, loved "Diamond Girl" and "Hummingbird".

They were on a lot of concert shows like "In Concert","Midnight Special" and "Don Kirshners" and "The California Jam"

Anyone else ?

Also a lesser remembered song which I think is called Get Closer. It goes "darling if you want me to be, closer to you, get closer to me. Darling if you love, love only you, then love only me." Great song!!

Oh Yeah ! Loved that one also !

I believe the Isley Brothers covered "Summer Breeze".

I had a music appreciation class in high school. The teacher was talking about (current at the time) modern music. He said that, " Seals and Crofts music would be remembered and played for years to come."

Count me in. Summer Breeze has always been one of my favorite albums. I may have to go out and buy it on CD now that I've got all those great songs running through my head

Take care and know that you are loved ... and The Isley Brothers' version of Summer Breeze is wonderful too,

Lana

I was a big fan of Seals and Crofts, too. I saw them at Jones Beach back in the 70's. Fantastic show; I still remember Dash Crofts coming to the edge of the stage with his fiddle, smiling at the crowd while he tore it up. He was great at interacting with the audience.

I always liked this one best:

Back in the distant days of the late 1970s, Rolling Stone magazine had a list of bands & pop artists that they considered "wimp rock," meaning those bands that couldn't rock or merely delivered "fake rock." Too many ballads and slow songs. Such artists on that list included: SEALS & CROFTS, America, Loggins & Messina, Bread, Kansas, Moody Blues, The Association, It's A Beautiful Day. I might start my own thread to see what the ABB board people think about "wimp rock!!!"

This list isn't my opinion but it actually stopped me from looking into many of the abovementioned artists for years, including S&C. However I decided to stop relying on Rolling Stone's reviews and listen to things for myself. I will make it priority to look into the music of Seals & Crofts!!

Wow, prelude on Hummingbird is so bad ass. Can I say that about a wimp rock band ?

I know this is way out in outer space, but Seals and Crofts at Wanee would be sweet.

If i'm not in an asylum(LOL !!!), I would love to go to the Beacon and Wanee next time.

I will be going back to pretty work soon, hopefully a new job. 21 years at the some stressfull job is enough.

Since my Aunt passed, I'm still staying with her Son and his Daughter. I'm trying to help him get his act together (not doing to good with that). He's been in and out of trouble all his life, I don't know if I can help. But I told my Aunt Marge I would try.

Thanks for saying that Haisija, sorry for all the gibberish.

Jim and Dan Seals are from my neck of the woods. One of the claims to fame we have.

I didn't read any jibberish . I mostly write jibberish, you mostly write about life.
