I knew the 20th year had to be a special one! Count me in for this one. The combos of artiists playing with one another is endless with this line up. I want a Warren, Derek and Johnny Winter trio!

John, we both posted this about a minute apart. It won't let me delete mine, but ya beat me. I have to go to this one. Steve Earle is in my top 3 artists. 1&2 going to Gov't Mule, and ABB. It is going to be tough here making Wanee, and these shows, but I'm going to make it. Maybe my sons will have to settle on a concert for Christmas.

I wonder if the DTB will back Johnny Winter like they did at the Clapton Crossroads Festival in Chicago.

Anyone know how much the VIP's usually run in past years? I figure double the price of last year, and may get an idea.

Pretty awesome lineup! Besides all the ABB family bands, it's great to see JJ Grey and Dumpstaphunk on that list. Lots of talent on that lineup. Well done Mr. Haynes!

I doubt I can swing it this year, too much money and right in the middle of the Xmas rush here at HTN headquarters, but I hope all who go have a magnificent time!

Sorry I beat you to it Kevin, great mines think alike.

I think the VIP tickets were around 350.00, I may be wrong, but the VIP seats are not the best. Its GA, or has been in past years. The VIP seats are mid upper sections on both sides. But I am not sure what all you get with the VIP's food wise etc,. My cost on 4 tickets last year were around 220 bucks including fees. So that puts them around 55 bucks apiece. WIth it going to a third night, I would guess a regular ticket for both nights will be probably 125-150 bucks each. That is a guess, I say third night because they always have the pre jam on Friday nights at the Orange Peel.

Keep in mind the VIP (last year) prices were based on the prejam and saturday night, with the additional night it may be higher.

I think this is a great initial line up. :-)

I love that Joan is finally going to grace the xmas jam stage. Ruthie Foster sang Soulshine with Warren I think in NOLA and she has a wonderful voice. Steve Earle is great and then there is Kevn. I hope Kevn gets to be able to perform with some backing players and a few more songs than one. I love Franti, and it's good to see Mule on the roster from the get go. Of course the ABB and the DTB are gonna be great and I can't wait to see the Del McCoury Band as I have never seen them. Also Dumpstaphunk will go over big. I can just feel that. And of course all the other players will be great though I hope JJ has only a few songs cause he still has to win me over though I did like the ballad or two he did at Wanee this year.

Ohhhh, I just noticed MARTY STUART. Now he rocks and though I've heard of Travis Tritt I've not seen him nor am I familiar with his music but I bet he and Marty will rock the place. The Col., Eric K. and Mickey R. are excellent too. And of course you can't go wrong with Johnny Winter. He performed at an ABB concert last year and I look forward to hearing him again and on more than a few songs. I've never heard of Robert Kearns.

Hopefully we will still get the surprises like the Dead or either Bob's band or Phil's Band and maybe, as some rumors were bandied about , that Phish band that so many people love. The only one missing is Grace. :-( I do hope she gets invited, even as a solo artist because she does have a lovely voice and a can pull off an acoustic performance very nicely. Also I hope that both Susan Tedeschi and Ron Halloway can be invited as well. I really feel Ron always adds in a positive way to a song. He is never over the top but always right where he should be.

All in all I think this is a much better initial line up than what was announced last year and last year rocked too.

Travis and Marty were co headliners at the Rocky Gap Country and BlueGrass festival back in the 90s.
I don't remember which year off hand. But that was one great show. both are incredible players and singers.

a very special lineup to be sure.

All I know is that JJ Grey has got soul. Love Mofro and JJ solo. Got to meet him and buy him some whiskey in Santa Fe a couple months ago. A genuine good dude.

What a great line-up Warren has assembled.

Marty's mandolin sounds so good at the Jam.

I should add to the above post that the floor is standing room only, no seats. All the seats are in the upper section (GA). Once the house lights are out, they are out for the whole night......
