Just picked up a 7th row ticket for Bob Dylan at the United Palace Theatre for November 21. Can't wait. It will be my first time seeing him. I hope he does Temporary Like Achilles and Leopard Skin Pill Box Hat. :-)

Congrats, Angela! This looks like a wonderful venue to see Bob. Hope you get a great show. He's been one of my faves since the 60's and I've loved hearing about people being moved by his music over the years. I've seen him around 20 times over the years (more than any other artist) and no show is the same. Have seen him do both Achilles and Pillbox live quite a few times so you have a very good chance of getting at least part of your wish if not all of it. I'm anxious to here what your reaction is to the show - hope you share your thoughts.

Do get back with us to let us know how the show went. I haven't seen Bob since 1996, I think. He was almost done with his rockin' show, and some fan decided to get a little closer to him. Bob was really cool about it at first. He let the guy step up to the edge of the stage (still on the floor). That wasn't enough for the guy. He helped himself up on the stage and sat at the edge of it, feet dangling over. That lasted for a couple verses. Bob was still doing his thing, not seeming too uptight. The guy then stood up next to Bob while Bob was playing and singing. The guy reached out and touched Bob's guitar! Can you freakin' believe it?

Bob walked off stage.

The show ended.

OMG, Angela! This is funny because I was at a Bob show in the 90's (Davenport, Adler Theater, Kenny Wayne Shepard opened) where he audience members up on the stage like this. Am studying this to see if I recognize anybody because I know one of my nephews friends was up there dancing and I swear to God, somebody who looks like my sister runs up and kisses him in the Like a Rolling Stone video from this venue that I just found out on YouTube. Too funny! I must investigate further...

What a great show. He is a terrific performer. It was a little tedious when I didn't know the words to the song but generally, I found the show to be very enjoyable and lively. Bob still has it. He's mesmerizing and fun to watch. I think he's 66 now. I hope to see him again.

Set List

1. Gotta Serve Somebody
2. The Times They Are A-Changin'
3. The Levee's Gonna Break
4. Tomorrow Is A Long Time
5. Things Have Changed
6. Desolation Row
7. It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)
8. Beyond The Horizon
9. Til I Fell In Love With You
10. Make You Feel My Love
11. Honest With Me
12. Spirit On The Water
13. Highway 61 Revisited
14. Ain't Talkin'
15. Thunder On The Mountain
16. Like A Rolling Stone
17. All Along The Watchtower
18. Blowin' In The Wind

68, 66 still, he has the spirit. He is ageless.

From the Philzone but I concur:

Get it while it's hot. Over 350 seeds at the moment. Blazing fast download. Excellent recording and Dylan was in fine form the other night. I thought so at the show and the recording confirms it.
