I grew up listening to the music of the 60's, and definitely had my favorites, but while I was exposed to all that great music, I didn't really enjoy everything I heard or get deeply into all of it. For example, while Bob Dylan was a prolific musical contributor during that period, I only paid him a casual listen. Now, I find myself enjoying all of the stuff of his that I overlooked at the time it came out. What about you?

Johnny Winter due to the incredible 3 disc set that I bought at Bill's auction in Atlanta. Bill Ector is still sharing his love of great music. I bought quite a few of his CD's there. When I'm out doing my DJ work, I have played many of the CD's bought that day. I'm making sure as many people as possible get to hear this wonderful music.

Metallica and AC/DC. As my son gets more into music, I find myself listening to what he is listening to.

Merle Haggard &
Billy Joe Shaver

Bought the Austin City Limits show DVD's. Been a while since i listened to much country. Man that's some great stuff. Especially BJS's son Eddie ( RIP) on guitar. If you've never heard this kid play, do yourself a favor and check out this cd or dvd. dickey taught him a lot about the guitar while BJS was staying with Dickey and doing some song writing. He has that DB tone and just takes over any song when he solos!

John Prine. I bought his first album in the 70's and saw a show from this month on tradersden and downloaded it. Nice to hear some of those classic songs I haven't heard in awhile, he still sounds great!

Early 90's I was really into the fingerstyle acoustic players on the Shanachie label . . . starting to get back into them in a big way, largely thanks to pandora.com.

My work has aloud me to deal with an old Black Panther/Wheather Underground cat. So after we talked for awhile it got me intrested in my favorite music era of the mid 60's so I have listen to my collection of Ballroom bands and 60's counter culture artists. So out came my Woodstock CDs and I have listen to the Joan Beaz tunes alot. I had forgotten what a perfect voice she has.
