Not an Obama supporter. Probably no different than the champagne both Philadelphia & Tampa Bay already have on Ice.

Very arrogant of Obama. No I am not a supporter of the cfr and their candidates. When the economy is tanking, people are losing their homes and thier jobs, but this guy wants to spend 2 million on a victory party? OK.

Your thread heading is incorrect - DNC is not funding this. If you read the article you shared you would have seen that...
quote:
The Chicago Sun-Times reports the price tag of the fanfare has been pegged at $2 million, to be picked up by the Obama campaign.

Arrogant of Obama? Really. What do you expect would happen if John McCain was having a victory party? Are you saying there would not be major coin spent?

No, there would not be a 2 MILLION DOLLAR PARTY. It is irresponsible in these economic times to celebrate like this while so many americans are hurting. He is setting Chicago up for a fall if he loses. Why would he do such a thing? Maybe he already has been told by the cfr that they have chosen him? I pray for Chicago that he wins this thing.

I do believe Obama will win. And more power to him and his victory party. However much they spend/however much champagne they drink, it is fine with me.

Truly a milestone for this country.

Why historic? That we elected the most under qualified president ever. Yes, that could end up being historic. More like a train wreck. This nation is not ready for a black president and only bad things can come of this. Don't you smell the set-up? Do you really think a junior senator could be a political machine like the Clintons? Wake up AMERIKA, before it is too late.

Nope, Jerry, don't be a sore loser. Don't get me wrong, I'm not voting for him, I just see the tide and it ain't with us on this one.

Have more faith in our country than that. We will survive this.

I hope Sarah Palin isn't invited,

she would need an entirely new wardrobe
plus 20K to ferry her kids to the gig

Yeah, and the ratings would sky rocket! Couldn't they just use some of the 2 miillion for her new wardrobe? I wonder what Michelle has spent on clothes this year?

In response to your points:

I absolutely do not believe that there would not be some type of outrageous party if McCain was throwing it. Possibly to the tune of 2 million dollars.

I do think that 2 million dollars is extravagent at anytime for anything that involves a party. I'm fairly conservative in my personal spending habits. I would also mention that this figure is unsubstantiated - it is a guesstimate reported by the Sun. And like BigV said - probably no different than what Philadelphia & Tampa Bay are planning right now for a ball game.

How is he setting Chicago up for a fall if he looses? This makes absolutely no sense to me. Do you believe that Phoenix will falter if McCain looses? Because I would guess that McCain has chosen to be in his hometown on election night just as Obama has chosen his own hometown.

H515 - I am not a sore loser because I don't have a horse in this race. Trust me, I know Obama is going to win. He is the man the cfr has chosen and that is that.

lola - don't be silly. If Obama is leading in all of the polls, loses on election night, thousands in downtown Chicago, you do the math. Shiit will BURN if he loses. That is why I pray that he wins. It will be the end of our country for sure if it goes the other way. I would not want to be in Chicago on election night if Obama loses. It will not be a safe place for whitey at all.

This nation is not ready for what???? What set-up??? Wake up JPB before it's too late. (Interesting the Kafka reference ... what does it mean?)

JPB, I have two questions.

Wake up AMERIKA, before it is too late.

How do we wake up, I mean, what do you want everyone to do?

quote:
He is the man the cfr has chosen and that is that.

John McCain is a member of the CFR. How would you explain his complicity in such a scenario?

(This is coming from a Democrat who still thinks McCain will win.)

Bhawk, you honestly think McCain will win?

Also, I guess I missed it, what is CFR?

Frist of all, anyone who's ever had to plan an event knows you have to make arrangements well in advance. People can't wait until election day and then throw something together. I'm certain McCain's people have something in place probably even more lavish. I just look at it as 'short term job creation'.

Seems the 'victory' parties have already begun:

October 09, 2008

Crist, GOP to throw 'victory' bash for McCain

The Republican Party of Florida is throwing John McCain a "victory party" on Oct. 18 in Orlando. Gov. Charlie Crist will be there along with an unnamed special guest (rumored to be Sen. Mel Martinez), according to an invite. The rally will be held at Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. Doors open at noon

Bhawk -

Your first question is a good one. You seem to be aware of what is going on but many are not. There are a lot of sheep out there and I just think people need to be aware of what is really going on. We have been brainwashed by these fools for years and it will take alot of deprogramming for people to "wake-up".

Your second question is also a good one. You simply do what they say. They own both candidates but Obama has been set up for the World stage to help them introduce the new world currency that they have been working so hard for. Just listen to the speeches that Bush sr. gave and Obama gave in Europe. The NEW WORLD ORDER is coming, if you like it or not. this is the real "change" that they are talking about.

I wouldn't want to be in Florida if he looses... sh*t will burn and it will be the end of our country as we know it.

Wrong. That award has already been presented. The anointed one still has about 3 months left in office.
