A few months ago, Yankweed and I were in the post office. Yankweed had an Allman Brothers shirt on, and the postal worker, mentioned that Gregg Allman was in a movie. Here is the trailer, you can see it for yourself. Check it out.

"Somebody told me you were a bada$$."

I have the DVD and I've watched it so many times I'll need to buy a new one soon. Gregg did a great job! I love this movie. Great music too. Sound track by Eric Clapton.

Awesome soundtrack with two masterpieces, “Tears In Heaven” and ” Help Me Up” , my favorite all time unfamiliar Clapton tune.

Most of the CD is instrumental, and of course featured “Tears In Heaven” written for his late son, Connor who died earlier in year. Buddy Guy is also on sound track with Clapton’s band.

There are times on that soundtrack where Clapton almost sounds like Pink Floyd on the instrumentals. It's one of my favorite Clapton CD's. Wasn't Rush based on a true story?

Yes. It was based on the true story of cops who got hooked on drugs. It is a rough movie. The sinking into addiction is not pretty. A lot of us here like it for Gregory. The band in the movie is very good too and a brief highlight of the movie. In case you don't know, Gregg is the drug and porn dealer in a small Texas town. Jennifer Jason Leigh is outstanding as one of the cops. Sam Elliot is in it and he always adds to a movie. There is some comic relief from the informer. I can't remember his name. Max Perlier, I think.

Max Perlich plays the informer that sets up the dealers. He is in other doper movies such as Drugstore Cowboys and Blow.

It was great to see Gregg on the big screen and all, but the movie sucked. Dark, foreboding & depressing...this movie is a downer.
