I find this sort of funny, I mean not the actualy stealing part, but just how crazy this person must be. What is she tying her shoes in case she has to make a run for it? Does she think that by stealing the sign that the person who put the sign out might forget to vote for Obama?

This is also timely for me as on my walk to the train station in the morning I notices one house that had an Obama sign one day and then the next day I walked by it and where the Obama sign was is now a sign that reads: "Whoever stole our Obama sign, please return it".

People certainly do get looney around election time.

There's been several reports of Obama signs being stolen or defaced around here. Doesn't really surprise me. There are probably people doing things to McCain signs as well. 13 days to go...

I am having second thoughts about that Obama sticker on my car now

Though if someone stole it, it could be a good thing.

The book value is more then what I owe

So it looks like a petty theft and trespassing. Hardly worth the legal fees she will pay to hire a lawyer to get her out of this mess. Did she really think by removing a sign she is preventing someone from exercising their freedom to vote for whom they want? I wonder if this was part of a conspiracy.......

This happens alot down here, especially in heated local races. One that occurred last year just cracked me up. A family had their signs stolen repeatedly, so they put up a webcam on the new sign. The two daughters, who were like 7 and 8, monitored it. Sure enough, the thief returned, the girls hollered "alert, alert", and mom and dad released their dogs, and the whole family chased the man down the street, away from his car. When he returned for his car later, he was arrested, and got some serious fines and community service. But the worst was the humiliation of having been busted by two little girls!

Maybe the fat cow just didn't know where she could get her very own Obama sign so she had to steal one to put in her yard.....yeah, that's the story the Rebubs will be putting out in the media along with the headline "Obama supporters are thieves!"

The funniest thing is how she had to adjust her bra when she got out of the car. "The girls" must have been in a bind...

There is a woman running for the county commission here that has posters all over the place. She has a very nice smile in them, or she did until someone blacked out the same front tooth in hundreds of them.

Now it sounds like she has got the dreaded summer teeth...summer teeth go this way and summer teeth go that way!!

Interesting. Some friends here in town (Des Moines) were telling me over the past weekend that they attempted to get a sign for their lawn from local Obama headquarters and were unable to - all out of signs in this area! We've been told that his campaign is using much of their current $$'s strictly in swing states and for some extensive TV advertising (think infomercial) a few days before election.

Since I live in Alabama, the democratic headquarters for our county is never 'flush' so I paid $3 a piece for my yard signs and $1 for my bumper stickers and then I threw in a few extra dollars. One of the signs disappeared after a few days.....the second sign is still out there but I don't know for how long. I also read that people were taking McCain/Palin signs too......kind of pathetic when people on either side resort to doing that.

I think i've seen that car before (as i live near tempe), the busted out back window was the give away. I've never seen a political sign in it though. If I see the car again, i'll let her know I saw her video

Big of you to admit that Ann. There is actually a story in our liberal left weekly here in Jax...Folio Weekly, about a kid in a band, has his picture, name and everything, very proudly proclaiming that he steals McCain signs and has amassed over 400 of them. The rag of a newspaper heralds him as a hero of sorts.

I thought it would be illegal? Could be wrong.

To me, I really do not care about "stolen" signs, what annoys me more is the fact that folks put signs in areas that are designated as public places-like on grassy areas along highways, telephone polls along busy streets, bus and railroad stations etc. and as a result, are doing that without permission of the person who owns the land. In those instances, I believe those signs should be removed. Obviously, if permission to place the sign was granted, I have no objection to that.
