Oh, That Joe! (No. 29 in a Series) -- Obama & Biden's Three-Letter Word: J-O-B-S
October 15, 2008 2:40 PM

With the economy floundering, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., told Ohio voters today that he and Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., would focus on one specific issue that Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has neglected.

"Look, John's last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S," the Democratic veep nominee said at a morning rally in Athens.

Now that is hilarious.

I could blather on about how if this was a Palin gaffe, Katie Couric would be running it as the lead story, but ....

Yep. You have to love how earnest he is when saying it, with conviction.

No, but he did realize what he'd done fairly quickly and was embarrassed about it. I know I've said plenty of stupid things myself (and that's just TODAY ... ).

Oh my God... I cant believe he made such an astronomically horrible gaffe. Wake me up when he repeatedly confuses Sunni and Shiites or screws up our history regarding our involvement in Iraq/Afghanistan. LOL. I guess when you have nothing left, this is what it looks like when youre going down for the 3rd time. Derek, its not too late for you to vote for McCain and ensure a continuation of the prosperity and peace we have all become accustomed to. All that said, I would wager Ol Joe knows where to put the percent sign

Pretty funny stuff. What's interesting is that I haven't seen it once on any of the news channels. Not once.

Had it been Palin or McCain, we would have seen it 732 times since yesterday.

Not even FOX? I guess that tells you how newsworthy it is.

FWIW, it was on both of national networks I watched last night and this morning (NBC and CNN).

I never said it's newsworthy, but I still haven't seen it once. They're not showing it. And I really don't care that much one way or another. I just think it's a contrast worth noting.

Well, at least Biden and Obama gaffs are funny misspeaks....they're not ignorant ramblings.

Ok, but it is a hypothetical contrast at best.

I heard it last night and this morning. It is funny, you know why, because we know Biden isn't a blithering idiot. If Bush had done it, we wouldn't be so sure, seeing he ain't the brightest bulb in the knife drawer.
