Thanks for the great pics. Any way you'd consider resizing them and perhaps deleting the one of Pres Bush?

Well, since the 1st photo is basically as good as a political campaign promo
here on the Anything Goes board, I'll go ahead and add....

God help us all if Obama is elected.

The change we need is McCain

Speaking for myself, I'm as far from being a "redneck" as can be.

The last photo does not offend me (without stating my politics), it just seems inappropriate for AG, or anywhere else here for that matter.

Come on! You guys knew these guys were doing shows supporting Obama, therefore no surprises regarding the political content of some of the photos.

My 12 year old daughter saw these photos and cheered at the "McAin't Gonna Win" sticker. I told her some posters here were already complaining about the pro-Obama love at the Rock for Change show. This astonished her and she said, "there are hippies voting for McCain?!" I don't get it either. Why are fans of hippie jam band music supporting Grandpa Simpson and the Scary Lady? You knew these musicians were not only going to cast their own personal vote in the booth for Sen. Obama, but also do shows encouraging others to do the same.

Maybe those who want to complain about the Obama Love from the Brothers and the Dead would better enjoy seeing Hank Williams Jr.. who recently launched into a whole anti-Obama rant song that I saw on (of all places!) MSNBC.

Long live free speech!

What type of change does a 72 year old man represent?...I'm really sorry, but I see John McCain't as a warmed over Bob Dole. Another OLD war vet who wouldn't know "change" if it ran him over...

NICE Pictures!

I saw it and it's a lousy song. Each to their own but I'm not over on Hank's site preachin' to their flock.

Great Pics though. Good shot of the full brothers band. The Susan shot looks real funky. And Gregg does appear very healthy. Thanks

First off, awesome pics here! Second, Im deleting all my Hank Jr. mp3's after I saw his stupid ass singing that song and re-inforcing one of the McCain lies about "terrorists funding his campaign" in reference to Ayers. Someone needs to educate Mr. Williams on a fellow named Annenberg.

Very cool photos indeed! I agree that Phil's bass is one cool looking instrument. I bet he can drop some bombs with that thing.

As far as the discussion regarding music and politics, I am confused. Is it a prerequisite that if you listen to the ABB and the Dead, or other such bands that you have to be a democratic or liberal voter? To say that anyone who listens to this type of music must vote against McCain seems absurd.

This is proof to me that this country and world are as divided as they have ever been.

I wish that people all over the world could shift their perspective to thinking in terms of this one simple statement: We are all people!

We all have that one common denominator and it is a universal truth. Why can't we appreciate the beauty of individuality and uniqueness in one another? I know that I can't claim to be any one particular thing in my life like Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Conservative, Hippie, Redneck, etc. The reason I say this is because at times I may be all of them and at times I am none of them.

I know one thing in this world to be true and that is we are all human beings.

Life for me is always better when I keep love at the forefront of whatever I do.

I know that when I keep gratitude at the forefront of whatever I do, life is good.

I know that when I try to focus on giving of myself to others that life is more positive.

History has shown us that the more we try to define ourselves into groups by race, by religion, by country, by state, by class, by political affiliation and so on, the more we actually divide ourselves and create unnecessary animosity towards each other.

To me, the coolest part of life is the fact that you have the ability to decide how you want to live it. It is yours and yours alone.

There is a really cool line in the Funkadelic song called Good Thoughts, Bad Thoughts. If you have never listened to it, I recommend it, it is a great song that is spiritual and deep.
The line is: Change your mind and you change your relation to time.

We all share this earth together; if we all try to live positively, things can change.

I love all of you,

Deacon

dmccabe!!! Thank You Thank You!!! Great Pics! I miss Jerry but the shot of the rest of the guys on stage with Warren really got me thinking about those rumours of a 2009 tour I've been hearing... Wish I could have been there to witness this!

And I suppose those supporting McCain are the whiz kids of the sandbox. Sorry, Obama can't possibly harm this country the way this administration has.

And everyday there are headlines and from Bush and his cronies about what and how they are going to do with all that money ? Seems to change daily. Something fishy here.
