Well, it was a whirlwind experience, but well worth it to see Dickey & Co. at Westbury and Asbury Park. I flew in from Los Angeles and was whisked off to the band's hotel where a few of us met up with Duane right before leaving for the venue. When we got to the venue, I was given an all access pass, but was to find out that Westbury does not allow professional cameras in, due to union rules...I was very disappointed, to say the least, but I managed to get a few shots in regardless

A few shots in the rehearsal room (these should make Keegan smile!

Afterwards, I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Rainy, along with Barb, Mitch and Bob. I also met Kimberly, who was a sweetie.

Here are a few pics from the venue - not my finest, but a little example of that evening:

The only thing missing was Pam...

I was with Donny Kulp, who plays in a band 27MILES, and Duane sits in on occasion. When Donny and I arrived, we were treated like royalty, and it was so good to catch up with everyone!

Next, we hitched a ride on the tour bus to the next stop at Asbury. These shots are of father and son during the bus ride...

Afterwards, back on the bus, everyone in the band graciously signed a couple of items for our lovely Keegan (thank you Frankie for the drum head!). Of course, I have to get the gratuitous shot with our host, Dickey...

Then with Mike and James...

Donny with Duane, and then Mike:

It was a great trip, short, but well worth it! One of my biggest highlights was meeting Rainy, one of the sweetest people on the face of this earth!

Thank you to all of the band members and crew for your gracious hospitality. When we had to leave, it was almost a tearful goodbye - we felt like members of the family.

Can't wait until next time!!!!!

Nice.

Dickey's a moe. fan, eh?

Well, I guess we can give him a pass on that.

tami thank you for sharing your images ! Westbury is annoying with their rules and the camera one is downright silly because there are always people in the audience with high end "snappy" cameras that have very respectable zoom getting great shots of the stage.

Saturday night at the Flo & Eddie show people shot all night long and took video till Tommy James ended the show just about midnight . I think they also have a rule about when we all should be out of there but they had that place rocking and Tommy James wasn't going anywhere at 11 PM or whatever the designated shows over time is

For anyone interested .... The Turtles morphed into Flo & Eddie and we were treated to 200 Motels, Peaches en Regalia, Keep It Warm .... it was great hearing songs from the Zappa era again

Great pics Tami and thanks for sharing. So when did Dickey dye his hair? It actually looks pretty good.
