I prefer early Eagles, even though I'm a big Joe Walsh fan. Hotel California is a nice album, but The Long run was pretty hit or miss. My favorite Eagles tune is an obscure cut off of their first album, "Train Leaves Here This Morning". Great, chill tune.

My Favorite Eagles songs are the early stuff. When it was pure country/rock. "Take it easy", "Peaceful easy feeling", etc.

After the change of personell, they diminished a bit, imo. I dont really think Joe Wash was a good fit for the Eagles. Hotel California had some nice stuff on it, as did the The Long Run. After that I pretty much lost interest.

Didn't Mojo Nixon have some words of wisdom on this topic?

Saying that Hotel California had "some nice stuff on it" is like saying the 1956 Yankees had some nice players on the roster.
