John Lennon October 9, 1940 December 8, 1980

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Woulda been 68 today. My daughter, age 5, was in the post office w me this morning and Drive My Car was playing. "The Beatles," she screamed with joy and began singing along. John's not dead.

This is a great story, Pete. You're right - we carry what's important with us and that's what keeps them alive ... whether a memory, a thought, or a song that make us scream with joy and sing along.

I always prefer to remember the great ones on their birthdays rather than the date they died. It seems when you recall their birthday you honor their lives; when you recall the date they died they become more famous for their deaths than for the good life they lived.

Remember Love
