I saw a sign at a place called The Taco Stand just down the road on Roswell Road in Buckhead today at lunch. Drink specials on both nights. It was cool to see a restaurant supporting the Allman's. I just moved to Atlanta and the food was pretty good too, especially the fish tacos. I might go up there for a few drinks and some dinner before and after seeing as I am not sure where the party would be. I have tix for Friday but not for Saturday but that doesn't matter to much at Chastain. A brilliant place to see the Allman's. Thanks and hope to see some other friends on the weekend. The deck is pretty nice and they had some good music playing on Sirius.

It's "An Evening with...." concert. There's no opener and they say the band starts at 7:30. I imagine we'll see two 75 or 90 minute sets.

What: Chastain Park Pre-Show Picinic will be Saturday Oct 11, 2008.
Where: Master Grill area of Chastain Park (directions will follow)
When: Start at 1pm, eat @ 3pm, Auction for Bill @ 4pm, end @ 6pm
Bring: BYOB, Water, Hot Dogs & Hamburgers (good quality) and other accompanyments will be provided. We will take donations to pay for the food, etc.
Why: to socailize with other like minded ABB fans and partyers.
Watch out: The rules say no glass so please try not to bring in too much glass, we will have plenty of plastic cups.

I finally found the Master Grill area at Chastain Park and this would be the perfect spot for our Pre-show Picinic (as long as it doesn't rain). The Master Grill is located off W. Wieuca Rd. It was hard to find because there was no sign for it. It is a gravel road and has a circular gravel parking area. I'm hoping we can leave our cars there and then walk to the venue, but I'm not 100% sure we will be able to do that. There is a gate and the park is supposed to close at 11pm so I'm not sure if they will lock us in or not. There are lots of places to sit and mingle. There are 5 picnic tables there and stone seats and several small grills and a great big grill that may not be in working condition but I think we can use the smaller grills for the hamburgers/hotdogs. W. Weiuca Rd runs between Roswell Rd and Powers Ferry Rd. If you are coming from Powers Ferry, its @ 1/4 mile on the left; you will go over 4 speed humps and then turn left. I need to clock the mileage coming from Roswell road, but the entrance will be on the right after the softball fields but before the golf course. I will have detailed directions to the venue and the Master Grill area at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

"Fish taco". Yeah, the first time I heard those two words together I thought it was a pseudonym for an anatomical feature of a hygienically challenged member of the fairer sex. The ones I've had are rolled burrito style (the tacos, that is). And, yeah they do taste a bit fishy. Sam had it right. When it comes to tacos, give me beef and crunchy corn shells with lots of lettuce, tomato and sour cream.

I first heard Fish Taco from Pedro Arevalo. I didn't like the sound of it. The one he was eating looked pretty good. Funny it was brought up, I was just asking my brother if he had ever eaten a fish taco today at lunch......................He had the same look on his face as I did mine.

Man I have a warped mind. Fish taco's??? Ok, the dare is on. I will eat a fish taco in Atlanta this weekend if anyone else will. This could be the making of a great story to bring home with me.

Fish Taco - excellent Left Coast item, made popular in San Diego with the surf crowd. Also a staple food group in hawaii.
Rubio's
Wahoo Fish Taco
Maui Taco
all popular "quick serve" taco restaurants in and around S. Cal, AZ, Colorado
