The sale is tomorrow and I read that they are doing the same thing as with the VIP!

Gov't Mule

During your purchase you may choose to add tickets to the 12/27 and 12/28 Acoustic Mule shows at the Angel Orensanz Center.

You will only be able to buy Angel Orensanz tickets if you first choose to buy Hammerstein tickets. YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO BUY AS MANY TICKETS FOR THE ANGEL ORENSANZ AS YOU BUY FOR THE HAMMERSTEIN. FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THIS WILL RESULT IN THE CANCELLATION OF YOUR ORDER.

It's not a good sign that the organization is making folks buy Hammerstein tickets in order to buy the Angel tickets. Why not sell the Angel tickets for a bit more and GIVE a Hammerstein ticket with each Angel ticket purchased?? In these tough times, it is just an erroneous assumption that someone could afford to buy two shows when they only want to go to one. Anyone? Not to beat a dead horse, and for the VIP okay, but even with the non VIP sale???????

The only justification is that by doing this it allows only the fans in and not the tickets ending up in the hands of the scalpers.

There are no GA tickets coming up & I don't want to buy the balcony (more $) since I don't want to go to the Hammerstein, just the acoustic show. Not sure what to do.
Anyone want the hammerstein but not the Acoustic shows?

If you're stuck I may have a single ticket for one of the acoustic shows.

Didn't like any of the tickets that popped up for me. Since I don't care so much about the acoustic shows I will wait for the presale tomorrow.

I think the acoustic shows will be cool, but I'm much more interested in the Mule as an electric band and I want to witness Jorgen with the band for the first time electric. I would be more interested in seeing Warren play solo acoustic than Mule. I hope everyone got the tickets they wanted. Wish me good luck with the presale tomorrow.

This whole thing has really left me craving the Beacon Theatre. They can't finish those renovations soon enough.

Picked up center in second balcony for NYE and GA floor for the 27th.
I'll be glad when we're back at the Beacon.

The presale is sold out. I only bought the Hammerstein so I could get into the acoustic shows but I found that I did it wrong and had to call them to straighten it out.

Doug, how many Hammerstein did you buy? If you buy one Hammerstein ticket then you only get one acoustic ticket. I messed up and only bought two Hammerstein but selected four acoustics. Come to find out I needed to buy four Hammerstein to get four acoustic.

I heard there were additional tickets up later in the day - maybe there are more now too.

Maybe they called back the extra acoustic tickets they were selling in the earlier part of the day. If Hard Head said that people's acoustic tickets are going to be canceled if they bought more than one for one, I would be very wary of anything Music Today said that differed.

Ticket Master has been canceling O'Bama tickets left and right for people who went over the minimum.

Got B1 Tix for the 30th, and Balcony tix for the 27th.
I have to say that yes, I miss the Beacon as well; but having never been to the Hammerstein (as well as Angel Orensenz) this looks like it could be a very nice holiday trip o' music after all.
Now I have to set up all the pre-show affairs, fun fun.

Doug,
I may be interested in that ticket, but I really need two.
So the Acoustic shows are GA standing?
All this just makes me feel bad - yes, the Beacon.

I think I screwed up also. I bought 2 Hammersteins and 4 acoustics. I will check tomorrow. Hopefully they will not nix my entire order. That would suck. I'll see if I can just give up one of the acoustic shows.

Well it doesn't look like I will have that extra. It looks like I will be lucky if my entire order isn't canceled. I will call them and attempt to give up one of the acoustic shows in order to keep my other shows. Hopefully I won't lose my entire order. I shouldn't have made such a stupid mistake but it really was kind of rushed and confusing. I don't know why I assumed that they were only referring to tickets per show. Obviously it makes sense two Hammerstein shows, two acoustic shows. I guess if they cancel my whole order I only have myself to blame. Hopefully I would be able to find some extras anyway. But my real hope is that when I speak to them tomorrow, they will agree to cancel one of the acoustic shows and let me keep the other acoustic and the Hammerstein. This reminds me of an issue with the Allman Beacon pre-sale a couple of years ago. I will keep everyone posted.

Don't beat yourself up Doug. Music Today made the same mistake on the VIP sale not just for this sale.

They should have had only one prompt per Hammerstein. I don't blame them fully though as I hear that they said they had gotten confusing information.

Ya think???
