Over the last 6 years this website has been my homepage and has been a source for many things. More often than not, it has brought about a great deal of pleasure, camaraderie and a breeding ground for true friendships. I am sure that the last comment is applicable for many of you.One of those friendships I sure do miss having around is Bob O'Brien. Brother Bobo ,you are missed my friend and I sure do hope that you are enjoying a vintage Fogerty show, laughing a hearty laugh and killing them with your sarcastic wit. I think about you often and sure do miss your friendship. Your presence made this community a better place my friend!

I missed seeing Bill in Raleigh.

When I got inside Friday night I went to the top of the hill and grabbed a beer. As I walked down I noticed a guy sitting by himself on a blanket listening to Phil. No one around him for 20 yards, just alone. I took a second glance because from behind he looked like Bill. That moment kinda stopped me in my tracks.

All those mentioned without a doubt but over time many others have left for various reasons I guess. A few that come to mind

muzic10 - She was an awesome member and fun to chat with.

Denza - Great guy who I know still lurks from time to time. Always friendly and generous and an all-around good guy.

Dino - Not sure where he made off to but again an awesome guy. When one Mule show was on its' way to me sometimes a whole damn tour would show up. Generous does not even begin to describe him.

From this famABBly, Brother Bill Ector. I never met Bobo, but we PM'd a few times, and I regret not having a chance to meet him.

From my blood family, my mother and grandmother.

In the las three or so years, I have lost my sweet grandmother Kassie at 91, my best friend William at 47, another friend of many years, Ray, my marriage...

Then Bill's passing really touched me for someone that I had not known that long or that well. I guess it was because he was the one that picked me out of the crowd at the Beacon and treated me like he had known me forever after that. But, I know now that was just Bill.

My buddy William, I had known since I was a freshman in college. We spent a lot of time together, because we put off settling down for so long. We partied, went to ball games, races, traveled, went to concerts, and were part of each others families. He died of colon cancer at 47 leaving a beatiful wife and 2 boys ages 2 and 4. It hit me hard... He and Amy did everything according to plan, both had outstanding careers, had established a nice lifestyle and waited until everything was in place to start a family. Amy was pregnant with James when William was diagnosed. It took two years and he fought it hard. It has left a lasting effect on me.

And that was exacerbated by a simultaneous disintegration of a marriage. Three more years like this will certainly kill me.

My Grandmother who passed away in 1978. Not a day goes by that I
don't think of her and her wit. My best times as a child were with her.

Hey now Buzzy82 -

It's great to see you coming around these parts! I know who you miss in addition to bobo ...

I miss Bill, of course. I also miss my mom and dad -- I dream of them frequently. But the one person I miss the most is my dear friend Ray Pavlovic. He was my college roommate and fraternity brother -- we attended together most of those Duane Allman shows you may have seen me write about ...

I miss Bill, and tattooneil from this site. I am glad I had the pleasure of meeting them both. Many family members, and my 2 best friends in my personal life. Even though I lost my Dad when I was 9, not a day goes by where I don't think of him. He was, and is my idol. Some of my old gang from high school didn't make it to 40.
