The Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Soul Stew Revival will keep the tradition alive with a return to the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta for New Year's Eve! There's no better venue or city in the country to celebrate the new year and we hope everyone can make plans to join us for our favorite concert of the year. Last year’s show was a musical feast for fans and musicians alike, recognized with a Jammy Nomination for “Live Performance of the Year”. This year we’re thrilled to announce very special guest THE SUN RA ARKESTRA! The legendary intergalactic big band consists of 15 musicians blending theater, ritual and music, led by founding member Marshall Allen. They’ve been pushing the boundaries of music for over half a century and without words to describe their unique sound all we can say is that this will be unlike any dTb New Years show you’ve seen!! Presale tickets go on sale through dTb Ticketing Tuesday October 7 at Noon EST. Public on sale will begin on Friday October 10 through Ticketmaster. |

Sun Ra Arkestra = Awesome!
They might run some people out of the room, but I don't care What a double bill!
I'd love to see Derek sit in on "The Creator Has A Master Plan" but I don't want to get my hopes up too high. Just seeing the Arkestra do their thing will be enough for me! |

If they did a multiple night show, that is where I would be this year. |

No she's not Brock and quite frankly, neither am I. We are really frustrated with the entire NYE run with the Mule and their ticket options. Everything is confusing and not spelled right out like the other bands do!

Just reserved a room at the Georgian Terrace.
Have been the last two years. On nye 2006, I had seats right on the very first row right in front of Derek's rig. Of course, I heard Derek's rig above everything else, but I was just amazed at how much he does. And this is after seeing him dozens of times over the last 15 or so years. Just genius. Kirk and Kirsten were right behind me. Then last year, I was on the 4th row on the right and had a great view of Todd and the Count, as well as of Susan.
Having the Mystic count down the New Year... Where else would you (I) rather be?

I also booked our room at the Georgian Terrace today. Let the good times roll. There were several good shows the two nights before NYE last year, one being Tinsley Ellis. Wonder what will be happening this year? Too bad it is in the middle of the week. ____________________ Let your lovelight shine. |

Well, that depends
How different from Aquarium Rescue Unit, or Bitches Brew-era Miles? Not that much.
How different from the Osmonds or Hannah Montana? As different as it gets! |

Oh man when I first read this I thought the Arkestra was going to be backing SSR all night, that would have been a trip. It might be good for the Akestra to run some people out after that NMAS crowd, not that they didn't kick ass last year but I could have done without that crowd with the condition I was in. |

Rest assured, I was not asking about the Osmonds nor Hanna Montana. Just wanted to know how far out there they were. |

I just booked a suite at Ga Terrace for New Year's Eve (even though I live 5-10 minutes away!). Hopefully, my budget can swing it and I can host our pre-show party again. That's the plan for now.
Should be a fun night again on Peachtree Street. ____________________ Tim L. |
