Ticketmaster has a presale listed for tomorrow at 10:00am for the two Hammerstein shows. Did anyone else hear about this??? Why no heads up from the Mule??? This is the first I heard of it. I have been checking Mule.net every day.

I wonder if they are gonna announce the presale for the acoustic shows. If my friend didn't call me to give me the heads up I would have had no clue.

Hmmm, thanks for the heads up. I think I'll take the GA instead of Balcony. Thank your friend too!

I'm not sure Sue, but at other shows I have seen at Hammerstein the seats in the balcony were GA. At least some of them. If it weren't for my chronic bad back I would buy orch GAs. It is just getting to be way to painful to stand for entire shows without at least a short rest. Especially for the three set NYE show.

I'm gonna give GA a shot. I'm only going to the one show on the 30th this year. Maybe if I get there early enough I can get a spot by the front and have something to lean on.

I don't think there will be any problems getting GA for these Hammerstein shows. The balcony may have assigned seats.

I don't think a lot of people will travel for these shows. Too much money and too many days.

There were supposed to be some VIP offers up for travel and such but I guess it isn't together yet.

This presale should not happen until people are told what the deal is.

Doesn't the pre-sale ussually come up on Mule Ticketing, not TM. Maybe this is an AMEX pre-sale. I think I am in the minority, but I am relieved to have a GA venue. I generally coordinate about 8 people going to various shows, the GA makes the seating a non issue. Plus, as you guys know, I stand all night anyway...

God, I hate this venue for the Mule as I think it is going to be overpacked and full of many drunks. Still i will be attending the show. A couple of things-the price for GA is fair in that it is only 40 bucks (for the show on the 30th) so no compalints there. I don't ever remember balcony seats being labeled. What you will probably get is that you are either on the first or second level and then it is first come, first serve.

Honestly, there is no need to go crazy over the pre-sale unless you are looking for one of the balconies to sit in. No question in my mind that tickets will be going for half price (at least the GAs) the night of the show. The acoustic shows will be tougher to get seats for.

One thing I forgot to add-I was hoping that the opening act might be Rose Hill Drive or Grace Potter. Just saw that Grace Potter is headlining Webster Hall (just picked up my ticket) on 12/5 and RHD are in Boulder (their home town). Wonder if anyone has a lead on who might be opening or will the Mule do it by themselves.

Anyone get any tickets? I did not get a buy option on either night and was on at 10 exactly.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope there is NO opening act.
Standing three and four hours for the Mule is enough.
I don't want to have to stand five, six and seven hours to wait in a good spot to see the mule.
Bad enough this is GA, please no boring sub par waste of time opening act!!! And even a good one is not of interest frankly.
I don't know what's going on. When I clicked on 'find tickets' the page that came up said no tickets available online. Maybe this is just a Ticketmaster screw up? I wish Mule would just announce something already. When they announced the shows they said we would hear ticket info at the beginning of the week. That was almost three weeks ago.
Called Tickemaster. Chick does not know why they aren't on sale as of now.
What a waste of time.
Typical Ticketmaster personel Angela. They rarely know what the hell is going on. I thought something was wrong when we didn't get a heads up from Mule. They are always very good at giving the fans notice when there is a presale. I bet this is just another Ticketmaster screw up.
I just got this:
Gov't Mule newsletter
http://www.mule.net http://www.myspace.com/govtmule
Buy It
- NEW YEAR'S TICKETING & VIP INFO
- KINDER REVOLUTION TOUR
- TAIL OF 2 CITIES/WH PRESENTS: VOL 8 ARE BOTH IN STORES NOW
- FREE SHIPPING OFFER IN MULE WEBSTORE
NEW YEAR'S TICKETING & VIP INFO
As previously announced, Gov't Mule will ring in the New Year with 4 shows in New York City. The band will play 2 intimate acoustic shows at the Angel Orensanz Center on December 27th and 28th then move to the Hammerstein Ballroom for 2 electric shows on December 30th and 31st. Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk will open the show on the 30th and Gov't Mule will play 3 sets on New Year's Eve.
For the Hammerstein Ballroom shows, we've taken great time and consideration in coming up with seating (standing) options that will satisfy everyone's needs. The floor section will be General Admission. The first 5 rows of the First Balcony and the entire Second Balcony will be Reserved. The remaining rows in the First Balcony will be general admission. Please check mule.net for more information.
Because of the intimate nature and limited capacity of the Angel Orensanz Center, tickets to these shows will only be available to those who purchase Hammerstein tickets through Mule Ticketing.
For this New Year's run, we will be offering VIP Ticketing options as well as travel packages in conjunction with Consider It Dan. For the Hammerstein shows, there will be Reserved VIP seats in the First Balcony and one of the Side Opera Boxes. There will also be a VIP section on the floor, in front of the stage, that will be Standing Room. VIP ticket holders will have a separate entrance, coat check and waitress service (waitress service not available on floor).
Travel packages include tickets to the show, a hotel room for 2 or 5 nights at either the Hyatt or the Holiday Inn, right around the corner from the Hammerstein, as well as New Year's merchandise delivered to your room. Please check consideritdan.com and Mule.net for all necessary details.
On-sale dates are as follows:
VIP Ticketing: Friday 10/3 @ noon EDT
Mule Ticketing (includes travel packages): Wednesday 10/8 @ noon EDT
Public On-Sale Friday 10/10 @ 10 AM EDT
I am utterly confused by this. The consideritdan site has no info. on the VIP or NYE run at all. I don't even understand how or when we are able to buy for the acoustic shows. Does anyone have any insight into this?
Nice marketing trick. Anyone who wants to go to the "intimate acoustic shows" has to buy tickets, even GA tickets next Wednesday in order to even be eligible for the other shows. Hopefully everyone who wants to go to those shows will succeed. I am assuming that purchasers through MT will get a password or some such thing for the acoustic shows.
Doug
The Acoustic show is the one I was so looking forward to, doesn't seem fair to be shut out if I don't also buy tickets to the Hammerstein.
