Never listened to this group.

I've heard of them for a long time, but never invested in them.
Came across an article on Cactus and Bogert & Appice were the
rhythm section (also formerly of Vanilla Fudge).

Worth a closer look at this point?

Thanks

I like these guys ... have their 1st recording on vinyl and used to listen to it alot back in the day. Here's a couple of YouTubes of some material from that album.

It's their only studio album. I happen to like it. Some songs rock, some songs are mellow. To me all the songs are good. I like Lady, Livin' Alone, I'm So Proud and a great version of Superstition.

Stevie Wonder was originally going to do Superstition with Beck but Beck was in a bad car accident and it never happened. I had on cassette and cd. I liked it enough to by twice...

I have always loved the first album. Personally I think it is some of Beck's best work. He didn't really overplay with this band. Just very tasteful licks.

Half of Cactus and Jeff Beck. How do you go wrong with that?

Watch the video's that Lolasdeb used on the second post in. Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice sang most of the songs. The CD credits all three with vocals.

Saw that "Vanilla Fudge" is playing a show here soon. I guess it's the lead singer and one other original member, no Appice though.

It was an anticipated grouping at the time 1970 however Beck's near fatal car accident delayed the group getting together for almost two years. Cactus was formed during the Hiatus while Beck created a new version of the Jeff beck group upon his return. BB&A got together in 72 when everyone was free but interest was not as great, at least not by me- a Southern group at the time was getting all of my attention. I remember thinking it was a disapointing effort by Beck .
