While reading some posts here, I have read a few about some not so good concert experiences. Be it whatever, let's hear some tales. My personal worst was in the early 90's at U.S. Bank Arena (Riverfront Coliseum). My ex-wife and I had gone to see ZZ Top, and the Black Crowes. A fight broke out behind us where some yayhoo from Kentucky was beating the hell out of his wife. People were falling on the ex, beer was flying around, and a few other girls who sat behind us were tumbling over rows. I took it upon myself to get this guy. I ended up with a knife in the back, and over 50 stitches. The guy took off running, and was never caught. Granted we did not see ZZ that evening. Metal detectors don't bother me a bit anymore at shows. I was at the Who show at the same place, but did not know 11 had died until the show was over there.

Nowhere near yours Mulehead, but the Drive-By Truckers were horrid when I saw them open for the ABB last year, just repulsive. Sorry DBT fans, no offense intended

I went to a concert once many years ago (don't remember who it was even) and took my girlfriend at the time. She had really nice long brown hair. Two drunk chicks were sitting behind us and they had snuck in some wine. Eventually the one chick got sick and threw up in my date's hair. I helped my date get her hair cleaned up as best we could at a concert. When we went back to our seats, we decided we would switch seats so my date wouldn't be directly in front of the drunk who had thrown up in her hair.

Then, the OTHER girl throws up. In my date's hair. Again...

Then we left.

i am really suprised at how, ummm, "not good" some of the openers I have seen are...

the payback is that some others I have seen open shows have just ripped..

Thats an easy one for me. Lynyrd Skynyrd. Nassau Coliseum Sept 1988. My wife (now ex wife) were married about a month and being a big fan of LS I wanted to see the show, my wife did not know any of the music besides Freebird and Alabama. We bought tickets outside the show and were on floor about 20 rows back. The first two songs everyone is standing on their seats and one drunk couple in the seat right in front of my wife were were both together on one seat, dancing and jumping up and down. Of course they fall straight back on top of my wife both laughing their heads off. My wife starts yelling as I am pulling the drunks off her. She hurt her ankle in the fall and I spend the rest of the concert at the first aid station trying to hear "Curtis Loew" thur the walls........

One bad experience was when I went to a show and got in a fight, stabbed a guy and then threw up on some woman's hair twice and then fell over on another woman and hurting her ankle.

Just kidding guys. Don't hunt me down. Some wild stories.

It was the tour they got booted from for partying too much. They were one of the main reasons I went to the show. Chris was falling around onstage much unlike a club show I had seen a few months earlier. Skip Rickert, ZZ Tops road manager (formerly SRV's road manager) didn't let them stay on the tour a month.

I went to an Aerosmith concert in 1980 (I think) and it was horrendous. It was so loud, the vocals and instruments were indistinguishable from each other. It was just a continuous, loud roar. I left in the middle of the fifth song. I got back to my car, an old, beat up '67 Chevelle, in the parking deck, and it had been burglarized. My Jensen 6 X 9's and a bottle of speed (those little pink footballs) were missing from it.

I went to see Muddy Waters at a small club and some guy in the audience decided he was gonna play harmonica with the band from his seat.........After a few notes from him a few of us decided that we had enough of his "Blowin" and we made a nice circle around him and let him know that we paid our money to hear one of the king of the blues not some half wit harmonica player.

Another time I went to see the Dobbie Brothers and some guy threw up on our blanket and then passed out for the rest of the show

Oh Yeah then there's the time Mike Lawler played his Keytar on WP........I walked out......

I grubbed a cigarette from a guy sitting next to me at Rodger Waters 7 or so years ago. Turned out to be laced. Made me trip out. Worst concert experience b/c I panicked at first, but then realized I was at a Rodger Waters show and all was good.

I had to sit thru TWO not one of a night with Donnie Osmond. My now ex-wife wanted to go and see him. I almost jumped from the balcony when he did Puppy Love for the second time in one night

My worst concert experience happens every single time I see an ABB show.

I hear the Little Martha instrumental.

Time to go home......

Mine pales in comparison to so many of you guys' , but here goes ...

1986 Stryper show at the Lakeland , Fl. Civic Center . It was the first show my dad let me see on my own . As most of you may have guessed , I used the " Christian Rock " angle to persuade the old man that everything would be alright . Shortly after entering the arena , my buddies and I witnessed what is still today , the worst fight I've ever seen . A whole bunch of metaheads ( 15 or so ) were going at it with a few of them wielding knives and brass knuckles . I saw one guy connect with one of those knife jabs , and the victim laid sprawled out on the floor for what seemed like a half hour until the paramedics and cops showed up . I was 14 at the time , and it absolutely scared the crap out of me .
