I'm going to write a letter to MLB requesting that the baseball regular season end on 8/31 every year so the Mets have a chance of making the playoffs. It's apparent they can't play in September.

then that wouldn't give the Sillies a chance or the Mets to embarrass themselves.

I dunno. I liked Willie...but he started to drive me nuts. His instincts to pull pitchers was off. Of course, with that bull pen, I understand the hesitation to rely on it.

Last night was just painful. Pelfrey did his part. The bats just died. I think tonight they'll light up and they'll crush the Nats. But 15 runs tonight still doesn't make up for none last night.

I think Brewer fans would co-sponsor that bill.

As a fellow Yankee fan, I guess we should shut up, but it's just too incredible to think that after listening to Mets fans kill the Yankees on the radio all Summer, they could collapse again. It's just too good to even imagine. I don't usually root against the Mets, I could care less about them, but their fans have been so obnoxious, they deserve to miss the playoffs again.

*laugh* Yeah, Mets fans could learn deplomacy from Yankee fans.

I think most fans of all clubs are normal. It's the loudmouth jerks that get the attention for being loudmouth jerks.

I'm concerned but the Manuel led Mets were at one time 20 games over.500. This year Santana is scheduled to start game 162, I think it's going to go to the end.

Let's go Mets.

Even if the Mets score 15 runs tonight, they still have a rookie pitching tonight. Add their horrible bullpen to the mix, and a win may still be a question mark!

True. But Doug Sisk don't look so bad anymore. Heck, he could even be the shining star of this bullpen...and that's not saying much.

There are still a few games left.....and let's be honest. No one in Philadelphia really thought that this would happen again. But every single one of us is keeping our fingers crossed that we can keep winning and the Mets keep losing.

Those wacky Mets fans... ... this is pretty funny. Can't believe he still had ahold of his beer in an upright position, too.
