Has anyone read the book "The Shack"? Just wondering, what was your take on it?

I once lived in a shack.

I have not read the book. It looks sort of interesting, but looks a little heavy on the god stuff. Have you read it?

Yes Brendan I have read it. It is heavy on the God stuff but not in any expected way. It is a very good read.

I'll check it out.

I'm currently reading I Have Fun Everywhere I Go by Mike Edison. Probably the polar opposite of The Shack. Wild stories by this guy and all true...

I may do that. I have a couple of books already lined up for when I finish what I'm reading now, but I may be done with those by the time y'all start. Thanks for the invite.

Brendan - this Mike Edison book looks to be fun! Checked it out based on title and I'm thinking I may need to get in my hands!

It's pretty wild. Not great literature by any stretch of the imagination, but damn entertaining.

Oteil recommended The Shack at the Wanee prayer circle back in April. I have heard from others that I need to read it.

I'm trying to watch that Oteil clip on Youtube, but the internets are not cooperating with me today.

Sometimes it's nice just to have some easy reading that makes you laugh without having to go the deep thoughts route. This looks to be one of those.
