Very under rated. One of the best. I love "Us and Them".

That article contains an error. This is the text:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---
The band released a series of commercially and critically successful albums including 1973's "Dark Side of the Moon," which has sold more than 40 million copies. Wright wrote "The Great Gig In The Sky" and "Us And Them" for that album, and later worked on the group's epic compositions such as "Atom Heart Mother," "Echoes" and "Shine On You Crazy Diamond."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----
Actually ATOM HEART MOTHER and ECHOES came before Dark Side of the moon. This article says "later worked on the group's epic compositions...." Atom Heart Mother came out in 1970. Echoes was released on MEDDLE in 1971. DARK SIDE OF THE MOON was released in 1973.

Got to see Rick Wright perform three times with the Gilmour-Wright-Mason lineup of Pink Floyd. Even without Waters, they put on a dynamic show. Very credible and his keyboards were a major part of the mood and overall sound (they really were a keyboard band as much as anything).

RIP Richard Write. One of the greats.

Did anyone who clicked on the article link happen to notice one of the links below it?
Far more noteworthy and disturbing than Wright's death:

"Satan Worshipers Killed and Ate Four Teens in Russia"

Yeah, I loved that song when it came out, because it was the first time we heard Rick sing lead on a Floyd song since Dark Side of the Moon. His voice and his writing were so important to the band from 1966-1975.

He definitely shared the lead vocals with Syd a lot in the early days. Maybe not quite as much as Syd, but definitely way more than Roger. Then when Dave joined Rick & Dave's harmonies were an extremely attractive part of their sound.

Rick also wrote so many of the Floyd's great moments, in my opinion. From the obvious "The Great Gig in the Sky", the music to "Us and Them", the song "Paintbox"; to the less obvious the music to "Stay" (similar to "Us and "Them"), "Summer '68",
"Remember a Day", etc.). Plus such his contributions to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", which musically was largely structured by him.

Often when people think of Pink Floyd it's Roger's lyrics and Gilmour's guitar & voice that are thought of, but at least up to The Wall and in the post Waters era, Rick Wright's sound is so crucial.
