Some of us have talked about having a Bill Ector commemorative t-shirt made to wear at the ATL show. If we were to do this, under the assumption we have the time to do it, how many people would be interested? We'd have to do this as soon as possible, as show time is four weeks. My idea was to use this picture on it.

What about a caption? Or would the picture alone get the message across? Also, what color shirt to put it on?

A porckchopbob characature of Bill would make a sweet-t.

Good idea, Jon. PCB, would you be interested in getting involed?

I should have also mentioned that any proceeds from the shirt sale would go to the Ben and Hannah fund.

Of course I'll buy one and I vote on that picture too. I say put "Ben and Hannah Ector Fund" and under that the URL for donating "www.hittinthenote.com/cart/c-111-ben-hannah-ector-fund.aspx." If not the URL, then the mailing address: Hittin' the Note
8343 Roswell Rd., Suite 345, Sandy Springs, GA 30350 OR the actual phone number to HTN Another suggestion would be I MISS BILL

Great idea Dave.

I will not be in Atlanta but would love to have one of these and donate.

The color is up to you, I kind of like the red he has. I also like the "I Miss Bill" on the front with the mailing address on the back for the Ben and Hannah Ector Fund.

I will not be in Atlanta either but I would love to buy one or two of these shirts. The photo is great, and I vote for the same color as the shirt he is wearing. Raspberry. How about working "Eat a Peach for Bill Ector" in there somewhere?

Count me in if y9ou need help Dave... you can get smaller quantities printed in about a week. To keep costs down, use white shirts, printed on one side. Please PM if I can be more helpful.

Dave, maybe you could have them made available for sale at the Beacon 40th anniversary run and raise some money for his kid's college fund or one of Bill's favorite charities. I'm sure there are many from the board who would gladly pay for a memorial t-shirt in Bill's memory after reading all of the wonderful posts about the man. Even those like me who never met him.

I want one! I think the caption should be "My Brother, Bill Ector".

When folks see all the people at the show who were brothers of Bill, they'll all wonder how he could have been in such a LARGE family! Little will they know it was a large famABBly!

Place "I Miss Bill" on the back with the addy for the Ben & Hannah Ector Fund.

Bill was a huge fan of Georgia Tech, so red would absolutely be inappropriate for the shirt color! Red and black are the colors of arch-rival UGA -- to hell with Georgia! Tech colors are white, gold and navy blue, and I'm thinking navy blue would look the best.

When can I place my order?

Count me in for one.

Just a thought...I think someone should say something to Ben and Hannah before putting their names on a shirt. I'm sure they are very grateful for all our support, but I can tell you at their age I'm not sure I'd want my name published quite that way...

I actually talked to Vicky Bell about a T shirt for the weekend, back at the time of the memorial service. She said she could probably find a supplier for the T shirts. I have not talked to her again because no firm plans have come together about a get together on Saturday before the show. It may be too late for her to get them made.
