Has anyone read this book? I read Skydog, and Midnight Riders doesnt seem to ever get a good review. I think this book sounds amazing, the stories that Willie has are probably enough to make me shed a tear.

If anyone has read this, give me a review or something. Thanks, peace.

It's a good book with good insights but is not a comprehensive story of the band. Midnight Riders was a great read though I think it could use a good update since a lot has happened since 1994.

BUY IT! (Shameless plug) - Get it from Mr. P. himself and he'll autograph it for you whp0854@webtv.net. Tell Willie that Lizzie sent you and remind him to send my 5 cent commission.

I purchased one and very much enjoyed it.

As someone else posted, its not a comprehensive history of the ABB. But it wasnt meant to be. It was one mans experience and thoughts.

I found it to be extremely interesting, and a fine compliment to go along with Midnight Riders, which I also enjoyed greatly.

There are some things in it that were not in Midnight Riders, and vice versa.

I especially enjoyed finding out that Duane was a fan of All in the Family and loved the Marx Brothers.

How could you not be a fan of 'All In The Family'. Best show ever made. I can still watch the reruns and LMAO!!! Sorry to get off topic.

The Allman Brothers Band, seen through another set of eyes. Helps round out the picture. If you can read the introduction without shedding a tear, you're at the wrong website.

Willie Perkins, Tony. As I understand, he was the band's business manager.

Willie Perkins is pictured on the backside of At Fillmore East. He is the guy on the far right.

Great Read....

And Willie is one hell of a nice person....
