Now that the tour is over, I wanted to get some feedback on what people thought were the best shows. I'd be especially interested in hearing from folks who went to multiple shows.

Besides just being a good topic of conversation until the Fall tour, Hittin' the Note always puts together our "West's Best" packages of the best shows of the year, and we're curious to get your input. ABB Tour Mystic Kirk West is the final word, but it's helpful to hear the buzz from the community and see what shows you think were the cream of the crop.

What do you think?

Thanks everybody, keep 'em coming!

I didn't want to say anything at first because I didn't want to bias the results, but I'm not surprised to hear PNC, Camden and Red Rocks, cujo. On a setlist level, they all had interesting and unusual things going on that would separate them from the average show.

I'm curious to hear the Mountain Jam from Hartford, if it's as good as I heard that alone could put it in contention. JNB really liked the Chicago show as well, I'm curious where he would rank that one among the other shows he saw on the tour.

Went to both PNC & Camden. Gotta say both were real good but gotta give the edge to Camden. PNC was good in spots such as the AWTNM w/ both Warren & Derek trading off & the first Aint superstitious showing up. But I thought Gregg sounded tired and the JaBuMa was average at best. Really could have dropped the Morrisson cover in favor of an obscure ABB tune also. Camden was a different beast altogether. Although I thought the sound was better at PNC, the setlist and energy was right on at Camden. Gregg sounded right on and the band cooked. Done Somebody Wrong really got everyone going, and it was great to hear Gamblers Roll and Guilded Splinters. I Shall be Released w/ Warren, Derek and Weir on acoustic was great. Loved Derek's acoustic slide solo on that. Liquid gold. YDLM into Jabuma into MJ.>D&C> MJ was insane. Gotta give it to Camden on that sequence alone. I will say this. Looking at the setlist for Red Rocks, that one looks like a real winner on paper. Not as many reviews on that one here on the book, kind of surprising. Will be picking that one up soon. Peace

I was at four shows: Jones Beach, PNC, Camden and Mansfield. For me, PNC was clearly the best. Given the longer time slot and the setlist, it sounds like Red Rocks would have be the one, had I had the good fortune to go.

Detroit was the only one I went to, and it was an amazing show. I Ain't Superstitious and It Takes A Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry. The boys were on fire, Derek played the Les Paul for most of the show. The only thing was there was no guest appearances, from Bob or any of Ratdog. But still, a great, uptempo show with some incredible guitar playing.

Well, I only went to Mansfield, Mass., but after looking at the other set lists, I would have to say Mansfield was pretty kickin'. It was nice to have Susan T. play/sing "Hurts me too."

It was a gorgeous full-moon summer night, too, so that adds to the ambience.
