Don't Keep Me Wonderin'
Stormy Monday
Rocking Horse
Come & Go Blues
Highway 61 Revisited -- with Bob Weir
No One To Run With
The Same Thing -- with Jeff Chimenti & Kenny Brooks
Melissa
Jessica
Encore-- One Way Out

What a great summer night! The venue was smaller and intimate, I enjoy it. Geat crowd, lots of people dancing and never saw any problems. Security seemed lax as well. Great times! Most importantly the sound was GREAT I thought!

Good set by the Allmans, started off hot, I LOVE Stormy Monday! I know a lot of people say that a night was a Warren or Derek night, but I thought last night was a Oteil night. That guys is fun to watch jam out.

Derek seemed to have some issues with his '59 Les Paul for some reason it cut out on him a few times it souded like? So he switched back to the SG around Rocking Horse or somewhere.

There were some glitches, but such is the life of live music, you can never plan for them.

Highway 61 was hurt by Weir unfortunately. I love Weir but he completely forgot the lyrics and it was a really awkward feeling sitting waiting for it to come to him... never did Still love ya though Bob!

Greg seemed to have problems with his monitor he got up during The Same Thing had his tech try to fix it for him and it was aparrant it was not fixed for Melissa, the first verse was a little rocky but all was well after the first chorus.

Derek left the stage for Melissa and then he came back for Jessica but when it came time for the first big solo, he was searching around for something on his amp (kept moving his towel and looking around) so Warren extended the intro to the jam a little and Derek never found it. I am guessing he lost his slide because he gave up looking for whatever it was and the first solo was without it but then he had one for that later solo and I was not paying attention to see where he got it from.

Great night all around! Lookiing forward to the next time.

Said before, I'll say it again:

I F'G HATE the fact they throw OJaBuMa in the middle
of Jessica. HATE IT. Hate it.

Ugh

Otherwise, looks like a pretty nice show.

I agree, that's the LAST song I want drums breaking up.

To those who were upset with the "repetitive" set list, there are only TWO songs played last night that were played Friday.

I was so very pleased to hear Stormy Monday. Great all around Allmans show, Loved it! One thing, they could cut the drum solo thing by 10 min. Other than that, 2hrs of Ratdog, 2hrs Allman Brothers Band, what else could you ask for? Good Stuff!!

Security was so very layed back in the lots! What a good time!

Next will be Merriweather Post in Md. Can't wait!

I know a lot of you like them, I have seen em' twice at other shows.

But 2 hours of Ratdog to me would be like having teeth pulled with no pain relief.

But if you like them, more power to ya !

You will want to be in your seat at 6:30 sharp. 6:30 - 8:30 Ratdog - 9:00 - 11:00 Allmans. They were pretty much on the money time wise.

Have a good show!

Actually ABB were running about 20 minutes late last night. It was more like 9:20 to after 11 sometime. But yeah Ratdog was ontime i believe.

Wish I had known and don't think I did not notice, but I wasn't taking off another day at work to drive to it and back. It is not a local show for me.

I don't like drums in Jessica either. It just does not work as drums are far to loud and angry for such a beautiful song as Jessica. Then when the rest of the guys come back on stage they all play about 10 more measures and are gone. Seems very abrupt in a 10-11 song set,.

BTW, I will see you Ron in Geneva, wthoG.

I also really enjoyed the ABB at Hershey last night. The weather was perfect and we could stretch out on blankets on the lawn, which IMHO is much better (and cheaper) than the dinky plastic chairs on the asphalt in front of the stage.

I particularly enjoyed the elegance of Derek's solos and the light show, but the whole band was really good.

This was the first time I'd seen Ratdog and I wasn't too impressed. The songs are great but there wasn't much energy to the performance. The bass player wasn't pushing the band and the drums were low in the mix. Without a good, propulsive rhythm section, the songs were somewhat ponderous, picking up a bit towards the end of the show.

the ABB had a great, great night! derek was unbelievable, warren was
outstanding, i can't believe how butch continues to pound it out like he
does, jaimoe was laying down some great grooves. oteil and marc were
on their game as well. man, just a fantastic evening. gregg sounded
as good as i've ever heard him. he sounded like gregg, not ill, not
recovering from anything. his voice was strong and vibrant. he sang
the first three songs in a row and that is a first for this tour. i consider
that great news. nice crowd, maybe 10,000 or so.
one funny observation. i really like to watch the body language and
non verbal communication between the band. during come and go blues
there was an intense jam and gregg had his head down hittin' the keys on
his b-3. as derek was winding down his absolutley crazy solo warren looks
over and see gregg is into his keys and warren trys to get his attention to no
avail. so then warren walks over closer to gregg and get into his line of sight,
but gregg keeps on jammin'. then i see warren say "gregg", no response, then
i see warren yell "GREGG" and like that gregg goes right into the verse he needed to.
it is just so cool to see these guys work together and enjoy themselves.
i had two friends, one from high school and one from college, we are all 50 yrs of age,
who are brothers fans but have never seen them. what did they think, you ask?
both said it was one of the best shows they have ever seen and, guess what,
lets do it again real soon.
i like ratdog and i like the ABB/ratdog pairing. i've seen ratdog 4 times, 3 w/ABB.
i felt like they mailed there performance in last night. however my friends who were
with me really enjoyed them.
to all those who are curious, gregg seems in great health and great voice. i was
concerned for a time about this summer tour but have no doubts gregg is
to be on top on his game.
nice meeting JNB again. what those folks do at HTN is so awesome and i told um so
last night.
see y'all at merrieweather in sept!!!

Hey there!

Back from Hershey, and back to work after having been off for almost two weeks, so slacking here for the morning sounds like a great idea.....

Like it's already been said, Gregg sounded great - On Stormy Monday he sounded like a man half his age.
We were 4th row center, near a bunch of great folks, and the sound was almost perfect from that spot - so was the weather...

Rocking Horse was crazy - Derek went into some jam that was different but familiar sounding - anyone know if it was something I should recognize?

Ratdog was Ratdog - I enjoy them , but if you're expecting a loud rocking ABB type sound, it's not gonna be your cup of tea.
