Has anyone seen him on the current tour? If so, what did you think? Reviews i have seen are mixed.

I won a pair of tickets on the radio to see him in Cincinnati tomorrow night at our new 4,000 seat venue...the deadhead and I are looking forward to the show.... I gotta believe getting to see Bobby is always good... and i'm always up for free shows.....

Haven't seen him on this tour (yet ) but have seen him about 20-25 times over the years and never been disappointed. He always has great musicians in his band. The past couple of times I've seen him he has not played guitar so don't be surprised there.

Heard tapes of the shows in Asbury Park and Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Pretty much what you would expect-incredibly laid back music with Dylan's voice sounding raspier than usual. Setlists have been predominantly more new material. Hey, free tickets in a 4,000 seat venue-I would absolutely go.

It'll be a goodtime. Dylan's backing band are a group of topnotch professionals. I agree that his voice isn't what it used to be, but it's fun to try and guess what he's saying...lol.

thanks everyone... we will be there for sure, i was just wondering what to expect ...this will be a great venue to see him; not a bad seat in the house and great sound for an outdoor (but covered) venue.

i looked at his site and the set lists have some great ones in there... i hope to get stuck inside of mobile or highway 61 in particular... haven't seen poor me, dont think twice, s. homesick blues or maggie's farm in there yet. tonight would be a good time to pull one or two of those out...

I've seen Dylan many, many times (including 4 shows last year). The shows I saw last year had Bob returning to guitar for about 3-4 songs at the beginning. His band is always first-rate! I guess you have to be a Dylan fan to enjoy it. I guess the same could be said for most any band. I'm hoping he makes his way to Birmingham or Atlanta on the current tour. Last time I checked, the closest he was coming was Little rock.

I've seen Bob in 06 and 07, and a few times before that. The voice may be haggard, but the words are still good. Just don't try to sing along; Bob will mess with your head by changing the tempo on ya!

bob needs to find a new sound guy and at least a little energy...

not one of my favorite shows... and i knew what to expect.... mostly post 97 stuff and i was fine with that - in fact i love high water and some of the others. i knew he would be changing the arrangement on all of the songs too..i was also fine with that.

the problem is the sound mix was horrible... not only could you not understand anything he sang... which is normal for bob, but we couldnt even hear the keyboard he was supposedly playing... at all... and he was there all night. guitar solos were muted and boring.... the whole band just seemed to be going through the motions last night.

now maybe it is this new venue... i have seen three shows there ... views are all great and the first i went to had awesome sound... the second was steely dan and they also had sound issues, but last night... if you love bass drum, then you would have loved the show because that was about all you could hear inside the venue.... one guy actually commented to me outside (he a vet of 30+ dylan shows) that he moved outside because it sounded better there and he was right (and it was a lot cooler - it was a very hot august night here last night with zero breeze.... this also might have had something to do with the overall lack of energy from his band)

overall very diasppointing, but hey, it was a free show and i had a great time with my son. but i wont be paying for a dylan ticket anytime soon.

I have'nt seen this tour but,I have several boot's from it. I'm diggin' it myself...I find it really interesting how Dylan changes up the make-up of some of his songs...some really radically such as "Maggie's Farm"...I do know this...like him or not,his band is excellent !!
