Hello All,

As I write this I recall the days of the Grateful Dead when we all would get "Another Letter from Phil Lesh". Please be very very careful while having fun at the Hershey show. MANY MANY people WILL be there to try to spoil the fun. I write this with deep heart-felt concern. It's gonna be a great time if we do this right!!! See you all there!!!
Anyone Smell NAG CHAMPA?

What about Hershey? I just got my tickets yesterday and looks like it may not to full, plenty of seats almost anywhere available. What would these "letters from Phil Lesh" say? I am a bit confused. The Star Pavilion is the smaller Hershey Venue by far and the only show I saw there before was Roger Waters in 99 and security wasn't a big deal. Yesterday the ticket guy there said it varies show to show with what they allow.

I guess I could say Hershey is my "home "arena, and it's fair to say the local police are pretty aggressive( Derry Twp. P.D.), I saw the Dead there in the 80's and they busted lotsa fans, you can spot em easy, they're fat guys wearing suit pants, tassled loafers w/tie dye shirts.BTW I urge you all to boycott Hershey products they are the epitome of corporate greed, raising prices yearly, outsourcing their work out of USA, forcing employes to retire earlier, etc.Too bad a bunch of greedy schmucks control this venue.

When the crowd scene got crazy near the end of the Dead's run "letters from Phil" were distributed in the lots warning people to behave or risk the venue banning the band.

i've been to hershey a few times (its been since 1998 or so though), but never really had a problem. i know there were some issues at a phish show one time. i also know some people had their cigs searched and were either made to toss the non-tobacco ones or take them back to the car.

that being said as in all places you need to use some common sense and try to be a little discrete.

I go there often, I have never had a problem... Yes they are strict but if you play smart you WILL NOT have any problems. To and including drinking out of plastic cups, just do it.

The State Police Academy is right across the street from the venue and Hershey Park is a family atmosphere amausement park. These are the facts, act responsible and you will not have any problems.

Quoted for truth.

If you are aware of your surroundings, you will have no problem. You will see police in the lots, have no doubt about it, just hide your beer or what ever when you see them and all should go well.

Another little hint, the further you park out in the lot (away from the actual venue) the less hassle you will have. Let's face it, it will never be as bad as Montage Mt. in Scranton, that place is the worst. I'm so glad The Allmans decided to play Hershey instead.

Also, I saw Phish twice at Hershey w/ absolutly no problems so yeah, just keep your eyes open and we'll be fine.

See You There!

Good, and my eyes will be open. I figure common sense is always key. Who all is gonna be there?? There seemed to be plenty of tickets available when I bought mine on Wed.
