Frickin General Admission floor seating for a Neil show? Wow. It's the weekend before my birthday at the Palace too, but not sure I can afford the $120ish for floor (that's what other shows are on TM, Detroit isn't on there yet) or pay $50 to sit in the nosebleeds. Probably have to skip him again this time, his timing seems to always suck when he comes around me, I either have too much going on and/or not enough money. Glad I at least saw him once in '01. Too many good shows coming this fall, talked my wife into the Brothers (always) and Metallica in January, but gonna have to skip Neil, Mule, The Who, the list goes on.

Skip Neil? That's crazy talk! Maybe he'll come south again, someday. Sigh.

One of last years highlights was Neil at United Palace.....now THAT place was a find - and Neil - well just sublime! Kinda like Mary Poppins - practically perfect in every way!

I'd like to see him. Arenas does that mean he'll have Crazy Horse?

Neil Young will embark on a North American tour commencing October 14 in St Paul, Minnesota continuing for eight weeks, culminating at New York's Madison Square Garden on December 15. The new tour comes on the heels of Young's hugely successful 2008 European Tour that brought him before audiences in 14 countries over the course of three months.

This fall's tour includes concert performances in such U.S. markets as Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Detroit, and Philadelphia. Additionally there will be multiple stops in Young's native Canada including Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax.

The concerts will feature Neil Young with the same band that so ably backed him in Europe - Ben Keith, Rick Rosas, Chad Cromwell, Anthony Crawford and Pegi Young. Song sets are expected to be eclectic, featuring both newer material and classic Neil Young hits. Death Cab For Cutie and Everest will support dates from October 14 through November 5; Wilco and Everest are on the bill for dates starting November 29 through the tour's conclusion with the exception of the December 9 Chicago date which will feature (TBD) and Everest in support.

All shows this tour will be GA floor with reserved seating in the stands. GA Tickets will be prices at $75.00 with reserved stand tickets ranging in price from $45.00 to $250.00 (plus all applicable service charges).

Gotta get my hands on some tickets for MSG. I would prefer United Palace again, but I'll take Neil any way I can get him!

Huh? Weird.

Yes! What a perfect matchup with Wilco, considering Neil is one of their top influences. I wish I could make one of those shows.

Indeed the Palace shows were unbelievable.
I went on 12/12 when it seems 1/2 the NYFD showed up to see him!
None of the young guys, just it seemed, the older fire officers had a sudden interest in the United Palace's sprinklers and fire alarms. A couple celebs in the audience as well, Donald Trump and Jimmy Fallon.

For what its worth, I have my eye on that Philadelphia date (12/12). Neil always seems to play a great show in Philadelphia, and I believe this will be one of the last rock shows in the old Spectrum before they tear it down.

Hmmm, $75 for the GA sounds better, I was expecting the higher-$150+ prices for the floor but that's not too bad, I might be able to talk somebody into that for my birthday present. It'll be interesting to see how the weather cooperates when the northeast shows are in December with GA, might be some awfully cold lines!
