The first time i saw the Brothers back in 1989 was at the Greek in Los Angeles.
Little Feat opened and my friend Phil knows one of the members of Little Feat and he got us backstage.I remember the only one we got to meet was Butch. He is a really cool guy.Anyway there was one point in the show were the band was in the middle of a song and Jaimoe walked off the stage right in the middle of a song.So we asked Butch why Jaimoe walked off in the middle of a song and Butch replied I never know what the hell that guy is gonna do.It was quite funny actually.I just thought i would share that i had forgotten about that until Phil reminded me today.Peace

First time I saw them was in Philadelphia at the Mann Music Center back in 1990
on the Seven Turns tour. I was just finishing up college and missed the Dreams/
20th anniversary tour.

Lost count how many times I've seen them since.

August 25, 1973. (I'm pretty sure someone here uses a Picture of Gregg taken at that show as their signature) The Oakland Coliseum. Then again on:

Jan.1, 1974 @ The Cow Palace

First time I saw them? June of 2006 with John (Rottinpeach) in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the Riverbend Festival - over 100,000 people there. We had a great time, first concert I had ever been to except for seeing Shawn Cassidy many, many moons ago - LOL!

They band played through a lightning storm. The sky was green and it rained like God was mad at the world. It was a night that changed my life.

I've noticed Jaimoe does that fairly often . I've seen Marc Quinones play his kit when he vacated it on a few different occasions .

May 2, 1976, Civic Coliseum, Knoxville, Tn.

Was 15 at the time. My overly paranoid mother, (for a very good reason) would only let me go if Dad went with me. Dad is really cool, and introduced me to the ABB, Doors, Joplin, Jimmy Reed, and other really good stuff. All my buds (with buds) were on the floor, so it was a tad embarassing for a 15 yr old. But, it was great! The next day was a school day and Dad kept having to call Mom and say the band was still playing and there is no way I can get him to leave. Probably a 2 1/2 or 3 hour show and I was just on cloud 9. I had already worn out Bros and Sis, LAFE, EAP, Beginnings (that's what I had at the time) and was just obsessed with the band. Clipping news articles, searching the mags of the day, had a poster of Dickey in my room. Was a dream come true. Gregg and Dickey right in front of me. Oh my God, this "illness" has lasted well over 30 yrs.

I started out with Bros and Sis. and then bought LAFE. LAFE changed everything for me. I would sit with my guitar and just try to follow those lines. None of my friends "got it".

The very first concert I saw was Clapton with Santana opening. Dad had to go to that one, too. I went to see Clapton, but Holy Sh#t, Santana blew me away. 06/20/1975

I sure hope I made a good impression on you that weekend Susie........ We had a blast. I can still hear Gregg imitating the sounds of the boat horns on the river with his organ while waiting to kick in to the encore. That was a hell of a scene seeing all those boats anchored behind the stage. Just awesome!!!!

Afterwards they had a huge fireworks show which was synced with the music of the bands that had played all week there. That was awesome.

A friend and I left Bonnaroo to come to Chattanooga for that show. By far, the worst venue in which I have seen them play. Out on a barge, with big screens up on the street, less than marginal sound quality. Haven't been to Riverbend since.

It was Tuesday Setember 9 1975. I was 17, drove, and had 3 buddies with me. They were the first concert held at Riverfront Stadium which is now U.S. Bank Arena. All 4 of us were howling when they went into Whipping Post as it was our favorite jam of the day. They played most of EAP, and Brothers, And Sisters that show. Elvin Bishop opened.

November 30, 1973, Carolina Col., Columbia, SC, great show, drove back from Columbia to Aiken and had to go to school the next day. Rough day. Next time seeing them was at Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta with LS, MTB and Grinderswitch (I think) in 1974, then Columbia again January of 76.

Often I think its related to his back injury, or so I've been told.
