The sooner we have a one world govt the better. It's the only way to end war and destruction of the Earth. As things are no one has any real power to stop the destruction of our oceans via "trolling" in international waters where converted oil tankers vacuum up all life and then keep what they can use, leaving "dead zones" which are rapidly increasing. The "Patriots" worry about losing our freedoms but we have already lost them all anyway, ironically to the people who preach "small govt".

So you are alright with being chipped like a dog and controlled by the government? OK.

No, I would not allow myself to be chipped, but we are already controlled by the govt. There are cameras everywhere and Bush has given himself dictorial powers to imprison anyone he wants to, in the name of National Security. My main concern is the environment which could be dealt with most efficiently by a one world govt. We are one world after all. Nationalism has been the greatest force of evil and should be eliminated.

That is crazy talk, you are more concerned about the environment? Are you kidding me? You can't save the planet! She has been here alot longer than us and will be here alot longer when we are gone. The natural order is that animals live and animals die. Most end up extinct at some point in time. There is nothing you can do about that. The plastic water bottle that you threw away will be here longer than you will? Save yourself, mother earth can take care of herself. How self rightous to even think for one minute that you can save the planet. Who sold you on that crap? Al Gore?

Do you have a problem with the duly elected President of 2000? I guess you prefer the man appointed by the Supreme Court. I never said I could save the planet did I? I think I said a world wide coordinated effort is needed to preserve what is left of the Rainforest and what natural beauty we have left. How you twist that into me saying I think I can do it ( and calling me selfrighteous for something I didn't even say) is truly incredable!

Animals are going extinct due to the loss of their habitat. This can be stopped and even reversed. An international law against further deforestation, including prohibiting further suburban expansion into woodlands, protection of all wetlands, making trowling our oceans illegal, even in international waters, creating more wildlife refuges and on and on can stop human destruction of the Earth's natural beauty. People who deny the seriousness of the situations by statements such as yours are enabling further distruction at the hands of greedy man. To say "the planet will survive us" (straight from Rush Limbaugh) is missing the whole point. For the Planet to survive is not enough. It is LIFE upon the planet that must be protected. I hope this is not too fine a point for you to consider.

I really wonder LP; where does someone get the kind of views you espouse? This isn't an attempt at anythng personal - I'm just curious. Are you a young guy regurgitating stuff your professors tried to make you believe? Are you a true believer that takes all this "world government" stuff as dead serious?

I just wonder.

Seems to me that this is just another repeat of human tendencies. The powerful want control and are egotistical and vein enough to believe they can achieve it, while the human spirit works agaist control and eventually overthrows the oppression. History repeats itself over and over. Only the technology and scale changes.

To believe any world government movement will succeed in the aims you state is to ignore the obvious lessons of the past. Cite one large society who based their activities around central planning instead of the randomness of human activity AND suceeded. Can you tell us one?

I doubt it. It's not in human nature to accept control the likes of what you envision. Because to achieve that level of influence also means power and dominance. By its very nature it won't be some kind and benevolent system. It will be "our way or no way" total control. Human nature and spirit will eventually say "enough" to anything like that.

I agree with you that our fellow sheep-like citizens are allowing the seeds of this to be sown too deeply in our own country. It's sad to watch. Land of the free my ass.

But I'm just surprised someone thinks that with the huge range of human diversity, a world system of control could ever work. Human nature just won't allow it.

I am not attacking you at all but i will offer you some advice, you need to read your history a bit more..of all the life forms that have ever lived on this planet 99% of them are extinct today, it is the way of the planet you are talking over 300 million years of lifeforms why are the ones today so different?

You want to pass a international law banning 3rd world countries from logging and clearing their land in the same manner as we have done in this country to build our homes make pastures for our livestock so we can live eat and raise our children that is very arrogant on your part to deney them a way to live just because it effects you...

Then you want to deny others a way to make a living by fishing, while i agree with you that indiscriminent trowling is wrong, work to have the laws changed so fish can be caught but in numbers the ocean can substain, people have to eat and make a living in many different ways..but you must realize people eat animals just like other animals eat each other again it is the way of this world.

you seem to have a very naieve way of looking at this world and Nature it's self,NOT one human speices has gotten to this point in life as a vegitarian yet all ancient humans revered wildlife because it was their lifeblood and it is yours as well,No matter what you tell yourself.

If you have not grasped the point yet it is really easy their are to many humans on the range, and everyone knows what happens when any species overpopulates the ground they live on ...get over it and just be glad you had the chance to live in a country where you were only held back by yourself.. peace

The only thing I care about is the environment. Whatever it takes to save what's left for future, more developed humans is fine with me. The Chinese want cars? Too bad, they don't know how good they've got it.

You can not have more developed humans without using resourses and creating waste this is what humans do... and save the enviroment for who? when we humans have run our course we will be gone and some other life form will take over just the way it goes.

So you get to drive and the chinese don't ??? right lol

Your life will change dramactically, frredom forever lost. I will fight with the Patriots

You don't need to LOL at me dumbas. I don't own a car. Your idea of "that's the way it goes" is about as developed as a fifth grader. You people who think your free are the real comedians.
