Ratdog will open and the ABB will follow. They will each play one long set. Warren and Derek will, no doubt sit in with Ratdog and perhaps Gregg will too.

And I hope Kenny Brooks (sax) and Mark Karan (guitar) get invited up with the ABB as well. ____________________ http://www.facebook.com/Angelemerald

Last year the bands seemed to trade off with one of them having a member or two sit in with the other band. They did not do a jam session with everyone at the end. Ratdog gets a full set first then the ABB with a full set. Last year I was hoping to see trucks sit in with Ratdog but we got Warren sitting in instead, not bad. These are some of the best shows and vibes you will get all year. Bob and the boys brought the kool aid and the ABB supplied the light show. It was the closest thing to a dead show I had felt in years. Pit was awesome and it was by far the best show of the year for me, even better than Piedmont which was great as well. The ABB really seemed to feed off the energy of the crowd and you could tell that they were not that used to everyone being all geeked up during the show. The atmosphere was truly electric. We are looking forward to Detroit and we just got word that the DTB is going to play the Vogue in Indy. I am trying not to get too excited, we have been waiting a long time for these shows. We will surely pre-party for the DTB show if anyone is interested and we will be waving that flag (DEAD) in the parking lot of the Detroit show as well. Looking forward to a great tour! |

I second that emotion about this pairing being so like a Dead show, so mellow and full of good vibes AND high energy. Last August at Nissan was also my favorite show of the year, a beautiful long evening... |

To me, part of the fun of an extended tour like this is for both bands to jam with each other. I really enjoyed all the sit-ins and guest spots on last year's ABB/Ratdog tour.
It's a shame Steve Kimock won't be around for this tour, but then again, Mark Karan sounded pretty good at Mountain Jam. Kenny Brooks on sax and Jeff Chimenti on keyboards both had great guest performances on last year's tour. Whether you like Bob Weir or the Grateful Dead or not, there are some really solid musicians in Ratdog.
And of course, whenever Derek or Warren get on stage with Ratdog, they make them "take it up a notch" |

I'm actually looking forward to seeing RatDog again with Mark now.
Steve did a great job, but I really want see Mark now.
Should be an interesting show again.
Sad i can't make the Phil shows, but will look for audience tapes ...

I have a version w/ Phil sitting in with the ABB from like 1999 or so. I saw them together at DTE Energy in 2002 and they didn't sit in other than Warren being in both bands. ____________________ As a patriot and a loyal member of the opposition I pledge to offer our new President the very same benefit of the doubt and unwavering support that the left offered George Bush over the last eight years. |
