Anyone else think it is strangely quiet on the ABB info front? With shows in a week, it is oddly quiet. Even Lana and Rowland are strangely quiet on this. The front page of this site has zero new on the tour except dates. Usually there is snippets of press stuff from local papers posted and some excitement in print.... Maybe I read to much into it, but the Beacon deal showed some disconnect of band to web site, info came out elsewhere first and Lana was in an odd role it seemed.

Someone tell me all is cool and they heard this or heard that and it will be a grand old time

As are the sheep!

But it has been mighty quiet. Too quiet, as they'd say in the old westerns right before the indians attacked. But I'm cautiously optomistic.

I visit this site mostly out of respect for what the ABB has done up until the last few years , and also to keep up on current events . It's been said by many others , and I agree , the ABB has become a side project for Burbridge , Haynes , and Trucks . It's not that I blame those guys at all , because I'm a fan of all of their bands too ( especially Mule ) . Face it , there will never be another studio album , although I sincerely hope I'm wrong about that . We've been hearing the " We've got some ideas for a new record . " excuse for the last 5 years now , and it's really stale .

I never thought I'd say this , but my expectations of an ABB show have been somewhat diminished . The fire's gone . Before anyone trashes me , consider this , I've logged a few thousand miles and spent a lot more money than I should have being a fan of this band . I live in south Georgia , so Atlanta isn't exactly a stone's throw drive for me . I've seen the ABB more times there than I can count since 1993 . I've travelled as far as Nashville , Tennessee just to catch a show . I've also attended Wanee 3 of the 4 years it has existed . That's probably not much in comparison to some of you guys , but it used to be worth the effort . I can no longer say that .

" Dazed and Confused " and other well known songs are covered enough by bar bands , and it should be beneath a band that is the caliber of the ABB . I realize that cover tunes have been standard practice for the band since it's inception , but really , they made the old blues standards their own , and revolutionized rock music as it's known today . For me , it'll take Betts coming back for me to spend my money on another ABB show . I've never started one of those " Bring Dickey back " threads , so spare me the " Beating a dead horse " analogies , but maybe he'd breathe some life back into the band that's desperately needed .

The fire's gone.

The flames are still burning high from where I am. I am so excited about the tour. Can't wait for my show on Oct. 11. I thank God for Gregg's recovery. Regardless of anything else, the ABB is No. Uno in mybook.

Thanks for the news Kirk!

I love the Brothers music no matter what they play. It would be nice to get some new music from them and maybe we just need to be more patient which is hard. I'll be happy to see them healthy and happy when I can.

I just got a PM telling me I have a great seat, plus a ride to Detroit. This would have been the first year I would have missed a show since 91. All I can say right now is WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Good to hear from Kirk. REALLY glad to hear Gregg is on the mend. If I never hear them play another note, I just want Gregg to be healthy and happy while Mama A is still alive. Bless her heart. Bless us all!

I respect your opinion to which you are entitled. However, our opinions couldn't possibly be any further apart.

Oh except that I have logged in several miles and dollars myself as well, since about 1994.
