Here is a list, and reasons why these songs were so bad. If you don't think they belong, explain why.

Anybody remember the Joe Piscipo as Frank Sinatra/Eddie Murphy as Stevie Wonder take off on "Ebony & Ivory"?

4 Non Blonde's "What's Up" is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's so ridiculously over the top, especially if you've ever seen the video, she's waaaay too into it. Especially with those stupid hats haha. And come one, who doesn't dig "Ice Ice Baby"? These are mostly guilty pleasures, a real worst song list would have included at least 4 Phish songs.

pcb, "What's Up" would have been the only song I would have removed from that list. I would have replaced it with "Safety Dance", or another 1 hit wonder.

I hate "Total Eclipse of The Heart" by Bonnie Tyler. I think it's an embarrassingly bad "power ballad." And all her screaming and screeching vocals sure made me stomach turn!

Luckily, Ms. Tyler's career was finished after that. However she did sing in a Folger's Coffee commercial... and screaming to that as well! How awful.

I think "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt is the worst song ever. Sounds like Miss Piggy on her death bed singing that song.

90% of those songs are guilty pleasures

So I ask, where is Madonna's remake of "American Pie"

Truly the second worst song behind Starship
"We Built This City"

Ughhh

Strange list....they were all over the board. I'm just glad I didn't know half of them.

Heh. Goes beyond a guilty pleasure, with me. I have the 4 Non Blonde's CD, both of her solo efforts, including the out-of-print "After Hours," and a collection of video snippets with Linda guesting with other artists - including a cover of Zep's "Whole Lotta Love."

Whenever I have to pick a "worst" song, I'll go with my old stand-by, the Flying Lizards' cover of "Money (That's What I Want)."

While the message is cool , "Eve Of Destruction" has to be on the list . I caught some video footage of Barry McGwire straining this one out on PBS the other night .

Any list that doesn't include Sugar Sugar or something by the Bee Gees is bogus from the kickoff.

The first one that came to mind for me was that Phil Collins "I Can Feel in the Air" or whatever the title is. What garbage that got a bunch of air time.

Anything Def Leppard. Who dicided that sh#t is "classic".

Anything that Michael Bolton butchers. Kind of like Celine Dion.

I could fill the page up. Scorpions, Poison, Bon Jovi, etc. And as I heard GA say once "the last three letters in crap are r a p".

The music industry has really put out some trash.

Actually, most of them are not making the money. They are having fun on the record company advances. So all the bling bling that they are showing off is actually owned by the record comany. And what the record company giveth, the record company taketh away.

I don't agree with this lots of this list, although there are some bad songs on there, I still think I can randomly scan through a few pop stations these days and find worse.

Yeah, probably right. Wonder who should get credit for the lyrics normally attributed to him?

The only two I would remove would be "whats up?" and "With Arms Wide Open". I think "With Arms Wide Open" is a wonderful song. Not sure if too many people know this or not, but the song is autobiographical, talking about the Lead Singer (Scott Stapp, I believe) having a child...

Well I just heard the news today
It seems my life is going to change
I closed my eyes, begin to pray
Then tears of joy stream down my face

With arms wide open
Under the sunlight
Welcome to this place
I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
