I'm not trying to start a rumour or anything, but i just heard that Dicky cancelled a gig in Ohio due to a broken wrist. If anyone knows anything regarding this please chime in. Hes scheduled to play in Rochester and Lewiston next week.

There was a Columbus show cancelled recently and broken wrist was listed as reason but I don't think any other cancellations have been mentioned. His wrist injury is an old one and may have just been a flare-up leading to this particular cancellation - I couldn't say. Have you checked on his site to see if anybody over there has better information about future shows?

From the Promo West website: "Due to a broken wrist by Dickey Betts, this show has been canceled. Refunds are available at point of purchase. Walter Trout will be playing a free show next door at the House of Crave with Frank Harrison and Scotty Bratcher. "

Pedro told me last week that ONLY the Columbus gig was affected.

I'll be in Buffalo Tuesday night for the show.

Well, I see him on the 18th and I am very excited. Have never seen him with DBGS. I will welcome hearing his soaring melodies and genius in person. I still think the ABB has a big hole where his sweet melodic playing used to be. They are very good, I know, just very different now. Seeing Dickey is as high on my list as the ABB show a couple of days before.

I really am excited for ABB too, but somehow I keep thinking of second row DB. I've seen the boys (ABB) a few times over the last few years, but seeing DB will be like seeing an old friend after years on the road and many winds gone...... hearing Blue Sky may be the most emotional moment in a long time...... God Bless Dickey Betts and whatever human imperfections he has, 'cause Lord knows I can relate....

One of the most true things I have ever read on here. People forget that dickey is human and can make mistakes like all of us...

I saw DB&GS back in May and Dickey had a wrist brace on for the first song, then he threw it off to the side and played the rest of the show without it.
