Last night I had the pleasure of hearing Derek and Susan and the band again. They played a wondeful set (sorry no set list ) anchored by several Domino tunes. Key to the Highway was a highlite for me along with an appearence by Santana joining in a 20min jam of Hercules. Carlos was locked in with Duane and Rico just blistering the skins. BIG SMILES all around.

They could have played for an hour more and no one would've complained.

No tapers that I noticed. The venue was kind of an upscale place on Nob Hill. No drinks in the aditorium and a sitting crowd for the most part except for a few pockets of dancers.
I did hear some talk that the show was being recorded by Derek ,don't know if that's true or not.

Santana?..Wow!...that is incredible. I'm going to the show tonight in San Diego and could only pray for a guest appearance like that, I certainly hope a copy of that shows up.

My daughter's in San Diego, searching for a job after graduating at the end of May,. She wanted to go but can't afford it.
I know you'll have a good time. The show would have been great even without Carlos.

I was fortunate enough to have a friend with an extra ticket call me....It was a great show.... ....I love Susans voice and Mikes too.....Scrapomatic was fun....

After the show as we were heading down the stairs to the garage I heard one guy say he thought he was coming to see a good guitar player he didn't think he was coming to see the greatest guitar player alive today.....

Nice, a Santana sit in! Now if EC would similarly acknowledge Derek, that would be great. Say, ABB in Atlanta?

Hey, it could happen! But I'll be struck by lightning twice before it does.
