So far, I've got 3 concerts coming up that I'm excited about. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers/Steve Winwood on August 27, The Eagles on September 14, & 3 Doors Down/Hinder/Finger Eleven on September 20. I'm ready for those shows!! I've seen Tom Petty twice before, but I haven't seen Steve Winwood, The Eagles, or 3 Doors Down. Has anyone else in here seen any of them live, & if so, do they put on great shows? Please let me know, thanks.

Make sure you show up early for the Winwood set. For the most part its fairly laid back, groove type stuff. He'll probably do Can't Find My Way Home and at least one or two Traffic/Spencer Davis classics. Definitely a rock legend who has not lost a step with his advancing age. Petty/Winwood is one of the best shows I've seen in a while. ENJOY!

Just saw Winwood and Tom Petty last Sunday and it was fantastic!!! Have seen both guys a few times before and knew how good they can be but they really stepped it up in this show - it was great! Enjoy!

I saw the Eagles open for Rolling Stones in the early 70's. They were pretty good but I must confess - my mind was on the Stones.

Saw the Eagles in 78 and 2003.

If you like their music you'll love the show.

Don't miss Steve Winwood and Joe Walsh steals the show from the rest of the Eagles. The Tom Petty light show was amazing! I'm not sure, maybe the fungus had something to do with it? We caught Mickey Hart the other night and went to Rush last night. Pretty much the same show as last year but good none the less. We have the Ratdog/ABB show in Detroit and Derek Trucks in Chicago in September and that is it for the year. We are cutting back and have to limit the shows this year. We managed to get to see Santana w/DTB opening in Chicago and Clapton at Deer Creek as well. We saw Devon Allman at the Mouse Trap and Ratdog at some hole near Cincinnati. Not a bad year and I am sure we will get a few more in before it is all said and done.

I too was at the Clapton tornado concert in Noblesville IN on May 30th. That was the worst rain I have ever been caught in, in my life!! The hole you are refering to is The Madison Theater in Covington Ky. I personally love the place, as Warren said he did too when the Mule was there last October. I will be going back to that "hole" next month to see The Black Crowes with Grace Potter And The Nocturnals. How many folks get to say they got to see these bands in a 800 capacity, general admission venue? I agree that the fact they still allow smoking there bothers alot of folks, but it's all not tobacco!! The security guys are all a very cool bunch. The Madison friggin' rocks!!
