I haven't met too many from this site in person (a handful in NYC during Beacon run 2 years ago and a couple this year at DTB/Santana) but would love to meet just about anybody and everybody that hangs out here! Am hoping to meet some new people at Red Rocks (like Mitzi and Jack and Ayla and Slammer and Helen and Nancy and Jeanne and Johnny and Alan and Rhonda and Kitty and - well everybody! ) and to see a few I've met in past (like Sue and Julie and Coot and Jacquie and... )

A friend of mine and I will be at Red Rocks. We don't fly in until Sat morning, would love to go to the show Tommy is putting together... He is not nearly as obsessed with the ABB as I am. We are staying at the Marriott West, so I am hoping to meet a lot of people that post here. I also want him to see what a "great bunch" the famABBly is.

Bill asked me if I posted on the GB or Forum when I met him at the Beacon, and I told him that I didn't. He encouraged me to do so, and said it was the best way to meet good people that shared the love of music. So, I have been posting some.

I want to meet as many as I can.

Yeah, if there was anything that could be considered a disappointment from my one and only Beacon trip of '07, it was not meeting friends from here WHO I WAS IN THE SAME ROOM WITH at the Fri. and/or Sat. parties . . . N1TRW and dadof2 come to mind.

I thought my big "Droog" shirt would minimize that possibility, but a few slipped through my net, unfortunately.

See ya' in August, alan!

Droogie - I know what you mean about those party rooms in NYC. What about next year at the Beacon for the 40th anniversary??? I've tentatively penciled in dates on my schedule already!

My most memorable was in line for the ladies room at the Beacon!

I'm also looking forward to meeting a bunch more friends at Red Rocks.

Yeah, I was in those HTN party rooms in both '06 and '07. I got a great photo with Derek in '06, and then when he played close to here that fall, he signed it for me. (Thrill!) I met a lot of people and talked to a lot of people both times (Devon, Lefty, Otiel, and Pedro included) but wasn't really posting or reading much, so I didn't try to associate names with forum handles.

So now I want to do that - I am really stoked for Red Rocks as that will also pretty much be my "vacation" this year.

Yes, Brent - I have JFD marked on the calendar.

I met Bluedad at the Fox on New Years - just had seen him so many times in various places and not met him, and he talked to me about Wanee. So, that will be something that should be top 5 for the 40th.

Rusty and I were talking about that. I've met more people than I realize, but at the Beacon it is so hectic. It's hard to remember who I've met there. Wanee and Red Rocks are different. Lot more leisurely.

There are quite a few people that I have met on this board that I would like to meet in person. No list because I'm sure I would forget and leave some out. Next year's Beacon run should be special. If people are coming in from out of town I will have to attend that weekend.

I'm pretty sure there are always people there from out of town, my brother. I, for one, will be counting on you for the pizza and hot dog tour since I apparently got it wrong on my last visit.

Right you are! I remember talking to Jacquie and Sari and Hooch and Croky and spotting you all at adjoining table at BB's that night but like you said - we were being serenaded so speaking was not optimal.

You are sweet. And I actually get over to Chicago once in awhile (although this year not so much).
