I know we got some musicians on this site. Just wondering if any of you have recorded any material whether just a song to put on Myspace to a EP or a full album?

Yes, I have. 10 in total, in fact.

* www.thepossessions.net/music/Carousel (I wrote all the songs and play guitar, keys and bass here)
* www.frankschiazza.net/music/PrayinForRain (every single thing you hear is me)
* www.frankschiazza.net/music/MonthOfSundays (ditto)

Just to name a few...

Recorded 3 albums as the guitar player in a gospel group...

Played on two tracks of an album as a guest guitarist.....and then joined the band. That was long time ago....

I recorded a couple albums with a southern metal band called Outlaw Sally. The bands been broke up for a couple of years but we still have a myspace page with some songs posted. You may even be able to purchase a cd from there if you interested. I'm not sure the exact URL but I'm sure if you seached the name under music on myspace ours will be the only Outlaw Sally.

Yep, a fair few. It's varied between being a massively enjoyable experience to being just about the biggest pain in the ass you could imagine...

Still, it's always been better than not doing it :-)

I guess I've recorded about 150 albums ... onto cassette for playing back in my car. I guess that's not what you mean, though.

If thats the case, then I have recorded more albums than Slim Whitman, Zamfir and Roger Whitaker combined.

I recorded the Road Tales EP (available at all shows!) with my band The Snakeoil Rattlers ( snakeoilrattlers.co.uk . Doesn't have record company backing or anything and we paid for it all ourselves. That's why we can only sell it at shows. I never was too good at the business side.

Well they sell for £6 sterling + postage in the UK. I've never sold one to the USA before. I guess you'd pay through paypal. Let me look into it and I'll get back to you.

Sat in on many sessions (and still do) and have been involved in a half dozen albums with bands I have been in, Peel the Paint, Driver and Resussitation Room All are out of print but I still have the 2 inch masters for the three above. Getting ready to go into the studio in the fall with FBD as we have about 10 tunes complete with two more just about done. Always fun to create and record your sounds!!

In another life I wrote and recorded 4 “albums.”

Very low level stuff—I used a 4 track recorder, drum machine, occasionally keyboard or guest guitarist, and I sang and played guitars.

I recorded them to cassette and distributed them to friends and family.

The performance sucks, but I think I wrote some decent songs.

If anyone out there is looking for originals, its always been my fantasy to have a working band pick up some of the songs.

Yes. My band's album will be out in November.

I have a solo album, that's really more of a demo.

And I have been a session player on several albums and ep's. In some cases in a very large quanity (like all the bass, a lot of lead, keys & drums througout some other singer/songwriters stuff, etc.) and have produced a few ep's.

here's mine. The tasty lap steel on I've Got a Reason and accoustic guitar on everything is by a guy named Nori Kelley formerly of Gadsden Al and a monster player. The rest of the guitar stuff is mine

spent many hours in the studio with my friends, they let me play on a track(more of a space track, called Atmospheric Drag) The band was the Quasi Stellular Object(Q.S.O.), the album was Hot Enough to Fry a Dog's Brain. I only was on that one track, but hey, I was mentioned on the CD credits, so ..yea

I have not appeared on an album as of yet. I did, however, write the liner notes to one not long ago which can be viewed here - http://tinyurl.com/2gfkju
