...Through the Bathroom Window."?

Went to Best Buy last night and found an official three disc (2 DVD and 1 CD) of the History of the Moody Blues, put out in 2006. Great photos, and montages, interviews with the lads, present and past.

During one segment, Pinder relates how the Beatles and the Moodies got along very well, and were frequent guests of each other. The Moodies had their own house with several floors. One night, a female groupie climbed up the rain drain, and used the upper half of the bathroom window to get into the house. Apparently, she made her way to Ray Thomas' bed, but Pinder doesn't "kiss and tell". Anyway, it seems they were talking to the Beatles about the groupie, and Pinder claims that the story was the inspiration for "Bathroom Window."

Anyone else hear the story before?

And, as of the interviews dated in 2005, there is some bad feelings on Edge's part about Pinder leaving. Pindar apparently would love to reach out to him. In any case, he made an interesting observation about not seeing the Moodies in concert after he left..."It's like watching your ex-wife making love to her new man." I venture to say, that must be a website somewhere

Pinder also says he turned on the Beatles to the mellotron after he talked to their equipment manager.

I listen to Joe Cocker's version often and love it. Didn't know it was and recorded and written by the Beatles. Not a major Beatles fan.

Carlos, I have heard something of a story like that, but not that it came from Pinder or anything related to the Moodies. Cool story. I bet there is truth to that...

There is a lot about on how the mellotron ended up with The Beatles in The Beatles gear book, but I never heard anything about Pinder in that either. But it does make sense if he said he talked to their equipment manager, that is also probably quite true, because that would be the person to talk to!

I love that quote about watching your exwife make love to her new man. Good one.

I like the Beatles version and Joe Cocker's version. Soulhound did that song at a party at our place and nailed it, Cocker style. One of my favorite tunes of all time.

Yes, I had a version of that story, but it was just about the Beatles and it happened to one of them.. Didn't know about the Moody Blues.

Yes, I actually heard it was written about a woman that broke into Paul's window.
