He's been around here recently - in fact he had a really lovely post in the say something nice thread yesterday.

I spent some time with him at Bill's visitation on Sunday. He posted a couple of lines in the Guest Book yesterday. A man of few words, but they're always good ones!

Someone mention Rory?

I had to laugh at that one, but it's true, if Rory gets mentioned I pop up like a mole outta my hole as in the 'Whack A Mole!' game.

Hey I'm still here, all is ok except Brother Bill is no longer with us. I guess I need to get back in the Vines forum.

Flattered I was missed, thanks.

Dan, I thought of you on Sunday when I was at a day long festival. One of the bands playing was Back Door Slam, a group of young lads from The Isle of Man. If you haven't heard of these guys yet, you will. Davey Knowles, the guitarist/singer is something to behold for someone who's only 20. He introduced a John Lee Hooker song he said was also done by his hero, Rory Gallagher.

TerriB, thanks for the heads up, they are playing here on the 22th and I am planning to go. Sounds like an interesting band.

Hey....I think I'll do something different and wear my Rory T-shirt.

They'll might do a meet and greet after the show, so Davey will probably love your shirt. These 3 kids are still shy and humble which is something considering where they're headed.

While you're at it, pick up the iTunes EP. It's not as original, but the Red House on it is a knockout! Too bad about the DRM, though.

I picked it up on Sunday when they played the WXPN festival. Got it signed by them, too!
