Didn't they play in Texas once?

Yes, particularly in the early 90's, it almost looked like it was something they were going to try to do regularly.

There are a couple great shows available on video from around 90-91 in Germany and elsewhere in Europe.

The London 1991 is IMHO a stellar show, I promote it here all the time.

The Germany 1991 show I have on DVD, its excellent also.

It was in june / july 1991 to be precise. A London show (Hammersmith), the Roskilde Festival (in Denmark), a show in Paris and a handful of German shows. I saw them on the 4th of july in Cologne, Germany. First booked at the Sporthalle and later switched to the smaller E-werk. Best show i ever seen. Before that they did a European tour in 1980 and two shows around 1974. Never returned to Europe since 1991. Read they lost money on the 1991 tour. I also think (just an assumption) that Gregg was fighting his personal demons at that time so maybe he has bad memories of some kind. Gave up hope that they ever come again a few years ago but a little hope reemerged after Gov't Mule and
The Derek Trucks Band "discovered" Europe. Now even Gregg played some shows with his band last year and currently Dickey is touring Europe. I think the ABB did some Japan shows but no other touring in Asia, South America, Africa and Australia.
