A celebratory memorial service will be held for Bill on Saturday, July 19th at 3:00 p.m. in the Marietta Middle School Auditorium on Winn Street. The doors will open at 2:00pm and the service will last from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.

This service will be Mayberryetta's celebration of Bill's life and we are having the opportunity for our ABB family to join in this celebration.

For those unable to make the trip for this memorial, please know that the ABB family will have their own. There is a completely unfinished as yet plan, but we would love to put something together for Oct when people will be here for the ABB Chastain shows. Since the shows are both Fri & Sat nite, my thinking is a get together on Sat afternoon, venue yet to be decided.
As far as I know at this time, Jack Pearson will be the only one playing for the Memorial service in Marietta and the family wanted music limited to a short time.
Of course, we would like to celebrate Bill's musical life in addition to his considerable impact on the lives of all his friends and community.
Once a firm plan is perceived, you will certainly be informed.
For those of you able to make it on July 19, we look forward to being with all of you to celebrate Bill's legacy and life.

Susie and I unfortunately will not be able to attend the service on the 19th but will be in Atlanta in October. We regret not being able to attend on the 19th.

Bill was loved by so many outside of this ABB family. He was an angel placed on this earth to bring love and light not only to the ones that had the privilege of knowing him but to so many that never met him.

The memorial next weekend will be a wonderful CELEBRATION of Bill's life.

Although I never met Bill, I have heard so much wonderful stuff about him. If I'm able to leave my Aunt's next weekend (she's getting much worse), i'm going to be there. It's not far from my house.

Then I can hear and see the story of this wonderful man.

Pat, as I told you this morning, I'm in and will help with venue, details, scheduling, etc. Great idea! One day/service is just not enough for our sweet brother.

I'll be there Sunday and again in October.

Made it back home from Marietta about 45 minutes ago. Bill's visitation was not as emotionally difficult for me as I had expected. I really thought it would be hard on me, but a lot of happy memories were shared, which were a great comfort. I think Bill would have wanted it that way.

I got to meet Ben, Hannah, Theresa and Betsy. I somehow missed talking to Sara, but we made eye contact a time or two. I'm sure it was awkward for some of them to meet so many strangers who loved Bill so much. Betsy warmly greated some of us who she was familiar with, and she bear hugged like her brother. She's lovely person with a warm spirit, much like Bill. A lot of the Peach family was there. It was a bittersweet gathering, sad because we were seeing Bill off, yet happy to see each other again.

It still seems so surreal.

There will be a gathering after the Memorial Service for anyone that would like to join in. It will be held at a local bar/restaurant. I will fill in details later and will have maps made up to hand out. I will make sure that the place can accommodate a large group.
My thinking was some place to have dinner, drinks and have a time to wind down and share our love of Bill and each other.

I am planning on being at the Saturday afternoon memorial for Bill.
I've messaged with bluedad and he will pick me up from Columbia.
I need to get back home and the last flight out of CAE is probably too early, but the last flight out of ATL is about 7:15 p.
If anybody is headed back towards ATL early and could get me there by 6:20 or so please let me know.
Thanks

OK.

The address for the Memorial Service is :
121 Winn Street, Marietta, GA 30064
It is not far from Bill's house if you have been there.
The get-together/dinner afterward is at Mellow Mushroom in Kennesaw. They have reserved for us the outdoor area which is pretty large and is mostly covered, beginning at 6 PM. I was told that if we wanted to set up for an acoustic jam we could, but must be done by 8 PM. They have live music there at 8 PM.
As I said, I will have maps from the Memorial to the restaurant.
