Well, my move is today. I'll once more be a Chicagoan after nearly 20 years in the suburbs. My gasoline bill will go down by about $40.00 per week as soon as I'm back. It's like getting a raise for moving back to the city.

You got it, I love exploring new cuisines . . . my wife on the other hand, is quite conservative in her tastes . . . so I may have to cajole her a bit.

Congrats on getting back to the city, Droogie! Love Chicago. Your neighborhood is just north of the Uptown neighborhood I lived in while in Chi-town.

Remember the Golden Rule of Moving, if you haven't unpacked it after six months, you don't need it. Throw it out.
The exception to the rule is Christmas decorations if you move before June.

Make sure you catch Jimmy Burns when he's playing. I know his bass player. Jimmy rocks on the guitar and Greg rocks on the bass. You won't be disappointed!

Hey, I caught quite a healthy amount of Jimmy Burns at the Blues Festival a few weeks back. He essentially took over the "Mississippi Juke Joint" stage for the whole first day of the fest. Lots of great music by him and all of his friends. I especially liked a cat named "Eric Davis" who jammed with Jimmy for several songs, and then got out from behind the drum kit to take the lead guitar and vocals for a couple of scorching numbers, including "All Along the Watchtower." Nice.

Anyway, the move was a success. My wife, being the dictatress that she is, insisted on non-stop work from the moment we arrived. So, the first two days were no fun at all, but the up-side is that now we're essentially completely unpacked, and to look around the place, you'd never know we've only been here three days.

Thanks to all who wished us well.

Peace.
