I refuse to watch Jack Ass, to me it has no value what so ever, its nothing more than bodily assault, even though the participants are willing, whenever I am assaulted it makes me want to assault back and that would just leed to a stoopid and ugly situation. I also just cannot bring myself to watch these ultimate type fight fighting shows, just simple brutality, of which there is already plenty of in this world, boxing to me seems like more of a sport and I don't mind it as much. One senseless show I do watch and get a kick out of is MXC, it makes me laugh sometimes and generally I guess seems to be in good fun. Anyone care to comment on these or any other senseless and/or worthless T.V. shows ?..........Peace..........joe

Every that is on from channel 1 to 1000. Except of course for music and sports.

The show I disliked the most was the show with Paris and Nicole. Go beg food off of people who are down on their luck and then make fun of it. Two rich kids that wouldn't no better or have the class to understand. Hope they eat those meals every day in hell. Well I suppose that i wouldn't wish that on anyone but they come close.

"Reality" TV pretty much sucks also. Shows like Survivor teach kids that lying, cheating and having no honor is the way to succeed. Works with a small group short term but won't work over a lifetime. Even the most ruthless tycoon will have some honor.

Wouldn't it be great if they worked together as a team to win? And actually have to possess suvival skills?

The king: Jerry Springer. (The jerk who started it all IMO )

Runners up:

Any show that features people sharing the same house or living area where they proceed to start screwing each other, both figuratively and literally, for the benefit of the camera.

That's why I now have a better stereo than I have a TV.

Just about most of network and prime time TV is a waste of time. I like Law And Order but I prefer the re-runs on TNT now (time for Jack McCoy to retire).

Instead of watching prime time, listen to the ABB instead!

This show had more family values than most, and lasted longer than many.
Not say you MUST like it, it's a matter of taste, but you can't say it has no value.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Now , back to your regular programming.

I decided long ago that there is hardly anything worth watching on TV anymore.
I flat out gave up. There are a few occasional shows that I will watch (The Office or
Battlestar Galactica) but I try to listen to the stereo more.

Although 'Mythbusters' is entertaining from time to time ...

I've sat up and watched Conan O'brien and David Letteman a couple of times when Mule or the DTB or Robert Randolph was going to be on....
Man, how can there be a market for that drivel? I can't imagine stuff like that being on national TV. Reminded me of some local programming.

I think it's much easier to list what is worth watching versus the crap, since about 95% is rubbish.

But I'd have to admit a guilty pleasure for the Colbert Report...

There is so much I don't like, but the tops for me has to be Deal or No Deal. Sure, the briefcase babes are nice to look at, but the game itself is total random chance, no actual knowledge or skill required. Anybody who can articulate numbers 1-50 has just as good a chance as anyone. Any gameshow should seek to have the audience play along, if only in their mind.

And before you think I'm all high-minded, I happened to enjoy the Simple Life (Paris/Nicole), at least the first year's shows!

Other than sports programs or news shows, I don't know what's on TV these days. The last show I watched regularly was The Sopranos, and even that started getting stupid towards the end of their run.

That is really not to hard to answer..ANY REALITY show is about worthless. 90% of tv is worthless. Pick up a book and read and encourage your children to do so.

i hate grey's anatomy! wife makes me watch it. though i get my sports on the weekend, so it's only fair.

i waited 4 years to get into LOST and i am blown away by this show. great acting, great story telling. and i'm glad i waited, because i got to watch all 4 seasons in a row with no commercials or waiting weeks at a time for a new episode.

I like the Simpsons. I watch the new ones when they are on and other than that, IF the tv goes on it either a documentary or a DVD of sorts.

I wonder statistically what kind of percentage of television viewers were lost to surfing the internet.
