Over a year ago I remember someone posting that they were in the process of remastering this show. I haven't heard anything since then. I do have this show, but my copy has some digi-static, and some background hiss. It is a SBD, but I would rate it a (B+) - (A-). Has a cleaned up, remastered version of this show ever been offered? Does anybody have a clean version ( maybe a SBD A) of this show? This is one very excellent show!!!

Here is the info (from Harvey) I have on this show:

02/28/71 @ Brewer Field House, Columbia (2 discs)
{Masahiko Remaster available}
{CaptSkipper Remaster work in progress 2007}
There are two sources of this show, a partial show that is of reasonably good quality (A- ?) and a complete show that is of poorer quality (B+ ?). What is normally traded is a hybrid, mixed source show.

To the best of my knowledge the Masahiko hybrid mixed source re-master is still the best that is currently available (being A- / B+ mixture). I haven't spoken with Skip for some time now, so I am not sure where he at with regards to his remaster of this particular show ... he does tend to have several projects on the go at the same time.

I have this show as a one disc... does it usually contain more? Cuts off during the fast lick during you don't love me.

Yes, the two disc version does contain more tracks than the one disc version, however, the additional tracks are from the alternative source that is of inferior quality (B+). This hybrid mixed source has 10 tracks in total ... 7 on Disc 1 and 3 on Disc 2 ... as follows:

DISC 1
Statesboro Blues
Trouble No More
Don't Keep Me Wonderin'
In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed
Midnight Rider
Hot 'Lanta
Dreams

DISC 2
You Don't Love Me
Whipping Post
Revival

As Colin mentioned, I did some works for this show, removing hiss noise, decreasing distortion on disc 2, removein gaps and whole remastering.
However, I've got some evaluations of both wrong and right, and Skip told me as "less existence".
By removing noise make this show as less power of ABB plays, I think it was for this result.
From Colin's info, Skip seems doing work for this show so I stop to do more. He must would do it much more better than me.

just listing to it ,it sounds like the 2cd disc at 12 minutes of ydlm was a audience
recording . it still is very listenable. many thanks to masahiko for doing this. also for all of capt skippers works too.i'm glad to have both of you working on these great duane shows.
