hey all..i wanted to take a minute to give a huge thanks to Pete Vancura, JP Vancura , Angel Murillo and a BIG thanks to Jamo VandeBogert for sharing the stage with me these last 10 years..

as many of you know, I have been traveling south for a few years now to play music and hang out with the people of this wonderful family. These trips brought music, friendship, fun times and , as of late last year, an amazing woman into my life..

Each time, it was a little harder to leave...

SO, i am not going to leave anymore..as of July 7th, i will be moving to Alabama...just resigned the day job...

I will be putting together some new musicians to work with in the south, and coming to play at HOB Chicago with the Vancura brothers every 6-8 weeks..
so many of you have supported our music and for that, I am so very grateful..I hope you will continue to do so in the future...

as we have all learned this past year, life is short, and each moment is precious...i don't want to waste any one of them...

Best of luck and success on your new adventure.

Sounds like a hard choice but for the right reasons.

Lefty, good luck on your new adventure. I know it must have been tough to leave. Especially the snow for the hot sun.

Lefty great news for those of us living in the good ole Southland. Good luck on your new life path, may the gods smile on you and LeeAnn! You won't need a green card like most Yanks down here, 'cause we let anybody with a LP slung over his shoulder have a free lifetime pass, especially if his musical tastes runlike yours do! You might not like the heat in August, but you will not miss the Chicago January's and February's! WELCOME HOME!!!!

Another midwesterner moves south. Good luck on the move, as in, I hope nothing blows off the truck.

Lefty, whoever you play with, you'll do fine. I'll be seeing you around.....neighbor.

Life is quite an adventure, isn't it? You just never know what's around the next corner.

And so, the legacy of Duane Allman brings Lefty Collins to my little corner of our planet.
Along with Johnny Sandlin. And Brent Sibley. And Duane Trucks. And who knows who else. Very, very cool. Looking forward to this new evolution. So are many others.

Lefty Collins is a wise man. I think he knows something. Hope others are paying attention

Lefty that's exciting news brother. I wish you the best of luck. Life is short play the blues.

How long before Lefty is an official Hayseed? Does he have to eat some possum stew and date one of Bluedad's sheep?

We'll have him eatin' grits by Christmas!

Remember Lefty, the following words are now pronounced with TWO syllables:

Bread (bray-id)
Head (hay-id)
Ford (fo-ward)
Beer (bee-yur)

Be sure to work on your diction and pronunciation if you want to fit in! Spelling is entirely optional.

Welcome, bro!
